New York - Automated speed traps on highways would photograph speeding cars and send $100 fines to their owners under a proposal revived by the Pataki administration.
The administration estimates it would generate $39 million in fines the first year and $81 million the next.

The state supreme court has already ruled them unconstitutional, and they will never happen. It's just Pataki's way of balancing the budget.
