    Bergenfield, NJ – A building collapsed and is on fire at 30 Elm Street after a major explosion that have been caused by a contractor removing a oil tank, multiple victims were blown from the Garden Apartment building and some still trapped inside, a 3rd Alarm has been called and smoke is visible from the George Washington Bridge, S/C Collapse Rescue Units to respond also additional police officers from the Bergen County Sheriffs Office, EMS Command is requesting 6 additional BLS units on a rush, also K-9 units to respond for some that are not accounted for.

    two people died in the apartment complex explosion and fire earlier in the day.

    It started with an explosion that may have been caused by a rupture in a gas pipeline
