Williamsburg, NY – UJO Congratulates Squadron On Senate Win

    44

Brooklyn, NY – The leadership of Williamsburg ’s Jewish community extends its congratulations to Senator-Elect Daniel Squadron on his victory in yesterday’s Democratic primary, and we hope and expect to work closely with him.

Williamsburg has always showed its gratitude to the elected officials who have served us so well and for so long. Senator Connor deserves our respect and accordingly won by a margin of two to one in the predominantly Jewish election districts in Williamsburg.

Senator-Elect Squadron, as our new state senator, will be able to count on our full support going forward as he moves to implement our shared vision for more affordable housing, improved social services, enhanced workforce development, better police protection and all the other issues critical to continued growth and success in our community.

We look forward to working with Senator-Elect Squadron for the betterment of our community, our district, our borough and our city.

    1. Neiderman really was thinking that williamsburger yideen are idiots. He had this cars going around screaming Metzita Bepeh,,when the problem was solved already two years ago..So mr Niederman here we go:::: We are not fools

    2. seems to me that UJCares (for nobody but themselves)lost the vote 6-1 in Hasidic E.D.s and is unlikely to be any more helpful to Squadron than the paltry few votes they brought out. Besides all they do is one time a year events and then praise themselves for the rest of the year.

    3. here you go, i knew that this will come one day!.

“We look forward to working with Senator-Elect Squadron for the betterment of our community, our district, our borough and our city”

Mr. neiderman will grab him into UJO and start over the old stuff, i think it should be a good idea that UJ CARE should start working hand by hand with squadron to fix back the comunity funds the way it belongs

    4. Is he, in fact, a Senator-elect? He won the primary, not the general election. Even if he has no opponent in the general election, he still could (theoretically) lose to a write-in candidate.

      Stam a Yid

    5. lets look back @ mr glantz

what did he ever do when he was working for UJO?

did he stop the police from coming to help the ppl what wanted to go to the yom tfela on wall street yes

he never did anything good for us but 1 good thing waht he has is helping the ppl that r in jail r”l

    6. squadron is aware of the fact that when he’s up for reelection he’ll receive support from UJO if he works with them. UJ Care, on the other hand, will give their support only if he has a good chance to get reelected. if he has a strong opponent UJ Care will support the other guy. that’s why, in my opinion, he’s not gona show to favortism to either UJO or UJ care.

    7. The side of ujcare thinks that Daniel squadron is stupid and don’t see how they behave they are going on personal attacks bllooging on the internet making news papers its time for the to change there behavior those kind off attacks are from the past they will never succeed that way

I ask the ujcare its time to grow up and change

You lost in the past because off that behaveir and you don’t learn a lesson

    8. THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT DANIEL SQUADRON WILL NEED THE HELP FROM UJO

UJO BROUGHT IN ALMOST 2900 VOTES

      VS

THE UJCARE BROUGHT ONLY 1548 VOTES

ITS THE NUMBERS THATS COUNT //STUPID//

    9. UJO’s statement that “Williamsburg has always showed its gratitude to the elected officials who have served us so well and for so long” is a lie. When Schumer ran against D’Amato who had seniority as a three term senator, Williamsburg nevertheless endorsed Schumer and forgot that D’Amato was one of the best fighters for us. Shame on them for their hypocrisy of “hakoras hatov”. Where was “hakoras hatov” then?

ITS D’AMATO WHO BACKED OUT OF THE RACE AT THAT TIME DONT DISTORT THE FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    11. UJO has past a difficult test with flying colors!

It showed everyone that they are people of appreciation & don’t back away even when its tuff & the candidate is going to loose.

Believe me all politicians know in the bottom of thier hearts who the people they can trust is!!!

And UJO has double the amount of votes then UJcare.

    12. I’m thinking that this is a little too little a litle too late. man did they call this one bad. UJO better resign themselves to the fact that UJCARE won this battle and go back in bed w/ vito a little while until its safe to come out. This is an Congratulating

    13. No, a lot of people who support UJCare voted for Connor, me included, because of hakoras hatov. The Aaronim with all the non-Satmarer in Williamsburg are two thirds of Williamsburg. If UJO wants the support of non-Satmarer in Williamsburg, then they should stop taking the side of the Zalonim who are stepping on us, most noticeable with harassing and intimidating those carrying with the eiriv.

Here you can see in the first tab the Williamsburg numbers. Connor won Williamsburg 65-35, went for Satmar Williamsburg/UJO/Rabbi Niederman. Satmar Upstate/UJCare/Rabbi Glantz were crushed by the vast majority of willilamsburg.

Once again it shows that the Majority of Williamsburg are not stupid and will not follow the propoganda but will support the respect and responsible community leaders. In a fight between the 2 satmars, Satmar Williamsburg won. In the fight between the 2 organizations, UJO won. In the fight between Rabbis Niederman and Glantz, Rabbi Niederman won and won big time even though the Aroinis conducted an unprecedanted nasty personal campaign against him with a 20 page newspaper full of false propoganda and personal dirt on the respected Rabbi Niederman

Lesson to Isac Abraham, look at the votes before commiting significant funds to your campaign….

    15. My friend was at the voting place and she saw people from ujcare going into a booth of an old lady and voting for her and they tell her ok your finishes.

there were 100’s of false votes

people came to the voting place and saw that somebody voted on their name

    16. For those who don’t know, here is the picture. UJO supports the Zalonim, and UJCare is a newly created organization by the Aaronim who felt that UJO betrayed them.

    17. Get the facts straight:

#1. Many new young voters could not vote for Squadron because they do not live in his Senate district. The 25th does not cover Williamsburg’s expanded territories on the North & South (incl. Clinton Hill, etc.). Also, many newly registered voters were not in the system yet, courtesy of the slow Board of Elections. These people will be able to vote & make a difference in a broader local election, i.e. congressman, mayor.

#2 Even if Connor had more votes in the 25th, Williamsburg is not KJ. Many non Jews voted, most likely for Connor who was supported by their friend, Vita Lopez.

Bottom Line: UJCare is stronger than u think.

    18. For those who dont know I was by the fulishhhh rally in Williamsburg and Rabbi Glanz shouted I’m not new I’m over 40 years well known in politics and askunes

    19. Anonymous Says:

For those who don’t know, here is the picture. UJO supports the Zalonim, and UJCare is a newly created organization by the Aaronim who felt that UJO betrayed them.

FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW, HERE IS THE PICTURE UJO HAS NOTHING TO WITH ZALOINIM OR AROINIM THEY HELP ANYBODY ANYTIME NO MATTER WHRER YOU BELONG!!

YOU JUST WANT TO JUSTIFY THE CREATION OF UJCARE ON THE EXPENSE OF UJO SO YOU WANT TO DISCREDIT THE UJO

      THEY NEVER BETRAYED ANYONE

    20. They where supposed to have lots of politicians and in his own words 10,000 people and in the end where only two politicians and only 10,000,000,000 people…. rest is history

    21. to: Glanz- Wertzberger-Shlesinger;

as a outsider im letting you know, it was a shame when you (satmer) devided and removed rabbi glantz from 82 lee after years doing askones in willi & in monroe & all over ny, he is a guy you cant find else were, a heart of gold, and thats not it, now when he comes again & ask pepole should go out and vote for someone, no metter if it is for the reson of politics, you are coming back and making jokes of his askones, its a shame,

“YES RABBI GLANTZ IS A ASKON AND HE DESERVE THE NAME ASKON”

r` arye leib keep up your great work, thanks so much for being a ASKON

    22. #3 in the Heyward polling site where there is almost only yidden the difference was 585 for UJCare and 1231 for UJO which comes out to a 68-32 Connor. Seems to me that if there were any hispanic or other non Jewish votes in the other Williamsburg polling sites, they most have went strongly for Squadron thereby bringing down the Connor total from 68% in the heyward site to an average of 65% overall

    23. THE BOTTOMLINE IS PEOPLE DO NOT GO OUT AND VOTE

      IT DOSNT MATTER THE NUMBERS

BETWEEN 5300 VOTES FROM UJCARE AND 4000 FROM UJO

ITS A CHARPEH AND A BISHE HOW MANY PEOPLE VOTED

    24. you could say what ever you want, for a new org. like ujcare it was history to bring out so much voters no metter even ujo hade 2000 more votes.

in my eyes, UJ CARE will get a fast big growing org. keep up

    25. it was never such a rally that a yid should ( glanz) get up and bash so nasty a distiguished klall asken M.D.N. with whom he worked together years and also vito l. an exsisting counci member from whom the comm. has so much…….. plus all lies……it’s very unethical the teretz is AROINY

    26. emes very well said when satmar endorsed pataki against cuomo glanz also campaigned ugly I asked how come? pataki is making it GLANTZ told me R/ lipa frdmm a”h taught us always to go hakoros hatov even if u c him loose that’s kidush hashem so u will ask ma nishtana? answer is Aroiny

    27. I asked many people in kj why are you voting against abraham weider”s candidates ? where is your HAKORAS HATOV for the incubents ? and now i ask “emes” does HAKOROS HATOV apply only in williamsburgh and not in KJ

    28. To all Conner supporters:

Face fact, Squadron won!! Yes Squadron won!! UJcare won!! Rabbi Glanz won!! and most of all WILLAMSBURG WON!!!! its immature to come with excuses that really in williamsburg conner won when the truth of the matter is in williamsburg squadron won (check out the facts please, dont just post lies) This elections showed that yes williamsburg is ready for a makeover (old fish stinks)

nuterie karte: cool it off, dont take it too personally!!

    29. WillyMom

I dont think you deserve an answer after such a big lei without getting red (even saying check out the facts) I assume when you have the facts and you see the aroiny DailyNews “””Note that contrary to my earlier report, Squadron actually lost every single ED to Connor in Williamsburg, although they came within one vote of each other – 1 for Connor and 0 from Squadron in the 103rd ED – and were separated by just a few votes in several others.

Williamsburg showed a massive increase in turnout between the 2006 Democratic primary and this one, going up 154.43 percent. Connor received 90.86 percent of the vote there when he ran against Diamondstone two years ago, but only 64.83 percent to Squadron’s 35.17 percent on Tuesday.”””” http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/

You will still trust and approve only Der Blatt numbers

    30. I agree iwth the poster that states that Glantz is an asken and works for the community. However, I also am appalled at the actions against Niederman. When politics reigns, it becomes more about the individuals, and less about the community.

I think its great that there are now 2 organizations you can count on to fight for the community.

Can they stop acting like a bunch of 2-year olds?
