The police presented the court with Inshin’s psychiatric evaluation, which deemed him fit to stand trial.

Inshin addressed the court at the beginning of the hearing: “This is s staged trial. This is fixed. You’re fabricating this story and I won’t have it, you’re conspiring against me.”

He further complained that he was prevented from seeing his attorney, but did express remorse for his actions.

Attorney Yaakov Kaminsky, for Inshin, told Ynet that his client “was obviously insane… he was diagnosed as a schizophrenic in the past and he is medicated.” Inshin, he added, belongs in a mental institution and not prison.

Is that not funny that the mother suspected of starving her child and everybody that know her claim she is to normal to do such a thing, but the prosecuter claim she is sick, and by this story everybody that know him, know that he is crazy, but now the prosecuter claim that he perfectly normal, dont you see that by frum people they have double standards???

I am a cousin of this individual. I know for a fact that he is on psycho meds and his first wife left him because of this. His doses were never adjusted properly, and fluctuated widely. Nebach

As I said this man obviously is schizophrenic and prob the paranoid type/not sure if wife knew this BUT WHERE WAS HIS FAMILY?If you know someone is not well, why allow him to marry etc and not TAKE THE KIDS IN A SAFER environment? I understand illness bec I work with these people every day in an acute hosp setting.Where are families who are supposed to rally around the spouse and innocent children?

I don’t care whether he’s locked away in prison or in a mental home but he is definitely dangerous either way.

Think of people you know in this category here in our midst that are being ignored or shunned.Relief has funding and is supposed to help but not always do they.
It always boils down to protektzie!
We have someone in the family and the wife is always being rejected when asking for help.

I just want to point out here that not all “mentally ill” individuals are the same. Also, people who display violence of this kind usualy display it previously as well, rarely do people do this without pervasive and systematic attempts to harm them.

Mental illness is a mixed bag, and we should not take away from this that all people with any mental illness is bad. But if we know someone who is of a violent disposition, then we need to report it when someone calls to ask about a shidduch.
