In today’s fast paced world where people spend so much of their day either online or on the phone, eCharityBox enables users to easily donate even small amounts to over 150 participating charities, quickly and easily. CEO Getzy Fellig told VIN News that “eCharityBox is a fun, easily accessible way for people to give back. So often, we plan to write a check to tzedaka, but our lives are so hectic that it just doesn’t happen. With eCharityBox you can seize the moment and make that donation with just a few simple clicks. We all have iPhones and Blackberrys. This is an easy way to put a little Yiddishkeit in our phone and in our computer.”
The system is simple and intuitive. The user downloads the eCharityBox application from the desired organization’s website. After creating a login, the user provides the appropriate financial information to eCharityBox’s secure system. Donations can be made manually, with the user donating any amount, ranging from just a few cents to much larger amounts at any time, or can be customized to automatically donate pre-selected amounts at assigned intervals. When the predetermined limit for the charity box has been reached, the user’s credit card is charged and the donation is sent to the charity. The user receives a receipt for their tax deductible donation and the money is sent via electronic funds transfer or check.
The application runs on Windows XP/Vista and Mac OSx and can also be downloaded to Blackberry, iPhone or any other cell phone.
Currently, eCharityBox can only be accessed through participating organizations, but within the next few weeks, an open ended charity box will be available, which is not tied to a particular organization. This feature will allow the user to make their donations and when the box is full, they can send the funds to the recipient of their choice.

How does this company make money? Do they get a portion of the Tzedaka?
The company charges the tzedokah’s that participate.
I have a different question. It seems from reading it that if I give to 10 different pushkas, that my cc will only be charged when each one is filled up. Is that right? I think some people might have an issue getting billed a big chunk at once.
I think it’s called icharity
