    Keolis Rail Services America — a majority of which is owned by the French National Railroad SNCF — has been seeking a contract to run the commuter rail service on two MARC lines. But Maryland lawmakers have demanded that the company account for its actions during the Holocaust before it is eligible to win any work from the state.

    The measure the House passed Monday would mandate that SNCF dig through its wartime documents and post them in a searchable database online.

    Keolis Rail Services won a contract to run Virginia’s commuter rail last year.
