Bnei Brak – Documentary Alleges Hitler Died In A Rural Estate In Argentina With Wife

(Photo Credit: AP)Bnei Brak – Hitler’s last days were not spent in his Berlin bunker, but in tranquil luxury in an Argentine hotel – at least, that’s the story that director/ producer Noam Shalev and researcher Pablo Weschler are trying to prove in their upcoming documentary, Revealed: Hitler in Argentina, set for release next year.

“We will never know the truth,” Shalev cautions, sitting in the offices of Highlight Films, the video production company he and Weschler run in Bnei Brak. “But there is enough evidence to build an alternative theory about what happened to Hitler.”

“No one believed the Russians’ story of Hitler’s suicide in the bunker,” says Weschler. “As early as the summer of 1945, there were headlines asking, ‘Where is Hitler?’ all over the world.”

One difficulty in confirming the basic facts of Hitler’s suicide with his wife, Eva Braun, in the final days of the Allies’ approach to Berlin, was that the Russian troops did not give access to many forensic investigators. Shalev and Weschler believe that British intelligence officer and historian Hugh Trevor-Roper’s investigation was rushed and “unprofessional.”

But what inspired them to begin making their film about the evidence they believe leads to proof of Hitler’s secret flight to Argentina were recently declassified FBI documents.

“In those days, the FBI, not the CIA, was responsible for South America,” explains Weschler. “And in declassified documents, we see that the FBI took very seriously the possibility that Hitler fled to Argentina.”

The FBI set up a special unit to investigate this possibility.

Shalev and Weschler are convinced they have gathered significant evidence that pinpoints Hitler’s whereabouts during the years following World War II. Inspired by the book Hitler’s Escape by Italian journalist Patrick Burnside, they have done their own research as well.

“When Burnside published his book, in 1998, he got thousands of e-mails from people coming forward with information,” says Shalev. “Some of them were crazy, of course, but he had enough information to do more research and write another book.”

The manuscript of that book, which will be published next year, was a useful guide for Shalev and Weschler, and led them to a famous hotel.

“The Eden Hotel in La Falda, Cordoba [in Argentina] was owned by Ida and Walter Eichhorn, who were close friends of Hitler,” explains Weschler. “Hitler sent them a Mercedes Benz as a gift. It was the first Benz in Argentina.”

The once-opulent hotel, now in ruins, was the site of lavish parties, and a host of notables, including Albert Einstein, stayed there in the Twenties and Thirties. The Eichhorns were very vocal in their support for the Nazi party, and made financial contributions.

They also broadcast speeches Hitler’s, whenever he spoke on the radio, throughout the hotel.

Citing a September 1945 letter from the FBI (one of the documents declassified in the Nineties), Weschler points to the lines that show that the FBI believed that if Hitler got into trouble, he could always find a safe haven with the Eichhorns if he could manage to get there. Weschler found former employees of the hotel who say they met and waited on Hitler after the war there.

“It was easy for them to recognize him, because his picture was all over the hotel,” says Weschler. He says that his research shows that Hitler moved on from the hotel to an isolated rural estate in Argentina, where he lived out his days with Braun and their two daughters, and that he died in the mid-Sixties.

Particularly persuasive evidence, according to Weschler, is DNA testing done in 2009 on Hitler’s skull fragments that were recovered from the bunker.

“They showed that they couldn’t have been Hitler’s skull because they were from a woman under 40,” says Weschler, a finding that was reported in the mainstream press.

“DNA doesn’t lie,” he says. “The more you look into it, the less credible the official version becomes, and the more plausible an alternative theory seems.”

It is shocking to think that this monster lived between us and had two daughters for 20 years after the war while he led a comfortable life.

If true unbelievable. But then again, it may be just movie fodder.

My grandmother, a holocaust survivor, always used to say “Hitler is alive and well”. Now apparently she was right.

If he was alive he suffered the biggest revenge possible. Imagine him seeing the success of the State of Israel and their military victories, and the rebirth of Judaism and the success of the American Jews.

I can’t believe people go for this bull, the Russians were surrounding the furherbunker Berlin no one was able to enter or leave, without there permission, the Russians were less then two blocks away and all the Germans were fighting to protect the furher,2nd the Russians were there less then 24 hrs after his death with Professional Investigaters and the Biggest Scientists at thst time they were making all kind ballistic tests to see if what the witness said is logic

So give me a break

I can’t believe that people really go for this stuff, and this Prof. That wrote that book should be ashamed of himself, for trying to hide the truth from the only good part of this Horrific Holocaust for a couple dollars

“No one believed the Russians’ story of Hitler’s suicide in the bunker,”

Wechsler appears to be pretty ignorant of some basic historical facts here. The story of Hitler’s suicide in the bunker was not “the Russians’ story”. In fact, after conclusively determining that Hitler was dead based on multiple eyewitnesses’ testimony and physical evidence, namely Hitler’s incompletely cremated body, the Russians under Stalin proceeded to cover up all the evidence for decades and accused the West of harboring Hitler somewhere.

Equally laughable is the suggestion of some people here that a Russian guard would have abetted their country’s worst enemy and risked the consequences of treason against Stalin in exchange for “cigarettes and vodka”. The Red Army invaded Germany in 1945, committing countless atrocities to make up for what they had suffered. Army units were accompanied by political commissars to make sure the Communist Party was being obeyed. There is no way Hitler of all people bribed his way out.

The reason the FBI investigated was to prevent such nonsense as this. Escape was impossible. The municipaL official who came to the bunker to conduct the marriage ceremony was killed by a bomb on his way home. Berlin was total chaos.

Complete rubbish.

Hitler’s final days are extremely well documented. To call Trevor-Roper’s investigation rushed is laughable, as he spent over two years investigating the matter (using hard evidence such as jawbones and dental records).

The business with the skull is nonsense anyway. Hitler’s body was burned, then buried twice (first by the Nazis, and then by the Soviets, the second time in a mass grave), until Stalin decided he wanted the skull in his possession. In 1947, the Soviets dug up the grave site again, this time unearthing “a” skull, which they decided was Hitler’s, and sent this back to Stalin as his memento. Apparently they dug up the wrong skull (there were over 18 bodies in this grave).

The body was reburied, apparently only to be dug up again in 1970. All bodies from the mass grave were cremated a second time, and thrown into the river.

The witness were no doubt tortured by the NKVD and not one suggested any kind of escape. The idea that he could have escaped west, making his way to Kiel, to board a U Boat which then ferried him to South America, as the book in question claims, is ludicrous. Research how U Boats operated then and you will understand why.

Complete nonsense. Hitler’s lower teeth/jaw are still held at FSB/formerly KGB archives. Forensic scientists from all over the world had access to this evidence that were compared to confirmed dental records. This is just a pseudo-sensationalist “documentary” like what Oliver Stone would create.
Only complete ignoramuses would say that Russian guards let Hitler escape for a bribe and vodka. That would even be a distasteful joke when 24 million Russians died to stop Hitler’s machine. Your grandparents are alive thanks to Stalin’s Army that stopped WWII.

A bunch of nonsense. hitler was a very sick dog by 1945 and would never have lived another 20 years like this piece of fiction asserts. The so called 2 daughters would be very easily found now if there were any truth to these pack of lies.

This article will cause needless pain to the small number of Holocaust survivors who are still with us. It’s probably just nonsense. But the pain that it will cause for the survivors and the children of survivors is real.
