While nowhere as long as those in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, gas lines at some local Brooklyn stations are 15-20 cars deep, leading to shortages.

In a pattern that began late Thursday evening, Friday morning saw the borough’s gas pumps working non-stop as residents look to avoid the pitfalls that befell them in the wake of October’s storm.

A Reuters photographer reported at least three service stations had run out of gas in the borough of Queens on Friday morning, with long lines formed at others.

I saw closed gas stations today. Out of gas at 9:30am. Long lines at some. Shorter lines at others.
