HAARETZ (http://bit.ly/U3FjlR) is reporting that Fernandez de Kirchner’s comments were made on a nationally televised appearance, as well as on Twitter, Saturday night.

“I read with real concern the statements made by Guillermo Borger, president of AMIA, on the deal with Iran,” she said on live tv. “What do you know to make a statement so terrible? She followed up on Twitter, saying, “If there was an attack planned related to the agreement with Iran, who is the mastermind and the material author?”

The January 27 agreement establishes a joint committee between the two nations aimed at investigating the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Buenos Aires Jewish Center in which 85 were killed, hundreds wounded.

Borger has been openly critical of the agreement, citing distrust of Iran within the Jewish community as key concerns.

“The pact is viewed by some people as a step forward,” Borger said. “This may be a step to the precipice. It will allow a very unfortunate third attack.

A member of the Buenos Aires Jewish community told HAARETZ on Sunday that Fernandez’s remarks ‘seemed to accuse Borger of being in contact with foreign espionage bodies who are supplying him with information.’

I am waiting for the progressives to opine that we really shouldn’t criticize Cristina Fernandez when she suggests that the Jews are responsible for bombing themselves in buenos aires on the ground that to criticize her will lead to our isolation.
