Less than six weeks ago, Pillay said the death toll had exceeded 60,000, a figure she called “truly shocking.”

But she told the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday that there have probably been almost 10,000 new deaths in recent weeks.

Pillay said the council’s deep division and inaction over the nearly two-year-old Syrian conflict “has been disastrous, and civilians on all sides have paid the price.”

She again urged the council to refer Syria to the International Criminal Court.

Shocking that adherents of the “religion of peace” keep killing each other. Moslem on Moslem violence seems epidemic as if human life has no value to the followers of Islam.

not a word from the great and honorable U.N. The jews are the only problem in the middle east. Get rid of them and all world problems will be .solved. On the way to Israel, maybe the President should make a stop over in Syria to negotiate a stop to this senseless murdering and killing of children etc.

70,000 deaths that the supposed “international community” has all but ignored because Russia and China do not want to lose a valued customer.

70,000 more, 70,000 less, the UN should talk about the true problem…Israel. Where are the outraged nk writers. Obviously this is some Zionist plot.

If a palestinian gets scratched by an Israeli then it’s covered in great detail in Australia’s The Age.
