Police say the rowdy group marched along Church Avenue near the 67 precinct station in East Flatbush following a vigil for 16-year-old Kimani Gray Monday night.
One person was arrested on disorderly conduct charges. There were no reports of officers injured.
Authorities say Gray was with a group of other males in Brooklyn Saturday night and started acting suspiciously when he saw police in an unmarked car.
When officers identified themselves as they approached him, police say the teen pointed a .38-caliber revolver at the officers, who responded by firing 11 shots, striking him several times.
The two officers have been placed on administrative duty.
Wait, if he had a gun and pointed it at police, why the protests?
They should be protesting the kids walking around with guns in their community. If the kid draws a gun on the cops – what do they expect to happen?
Police says he had a gun as we all know they can lie

They have nothing better to do with their time. Let them kill each other and we will have one less problem in America.
What is a 6 year old doing ith revolver. Mr. Cuomo, this was not an assault rifle. Where are ll the goody too shoo liberals. I am sure that Tubbu Sharpton’s ugly face will be all over the news complaining how this child was killed by thre poolice. I read that these nice itizenrioters looted a Rite Aid Store. Is that how you protest or was this just another excuse to rob. nough with this liberal propoganda.
Reply to # 3. What a dumb comment. Why would they lie. Why would they shoot if no gun was displayed. They are protesting because they are Animals. They don’t work they don’t do anything in life. They got nothing to lose. Just like in Syria and in the whole Middle East where non of those animals work so all they do is protesting.
The police are to trigger happy! he could of subdue him with tasser or otherwise, not shooting him 11 times to dead! I mean come’on this was a civil issue not a militarily one.
He was an “A” student and a leader among his peers. This is a ture loss to the community.
Short, sweet and simple…he pointed a gun at the police, there is no excuse for that behavior. The is no excuse for him carrying an unlicensed gun. He paid the correct price for his stupid actions. Anyone who was part of that riot should have been arrested…no if’s and’s or but’s. The entire protest was moronic, given the circumstances..but became intollerable once it became a riot. Rioters need to be shot and or arrested..I had little pity for their stupid arguement before the riot, and zero after they went wild. Law and order must be maintained!
I was driving down Utica Ave at that time and got stuck in the traffic resulting from the march. I’ve never seen such blatant wilding, like a herd of wilderbeast in the jungle.
People of their own kind were running for cover. The looks in the eyes of these hoodlooms and their body language was one of total threat and intimidation. Many police cars were following them, trying to break up the march but were blatantly ignored. These animals were on a mission and nothing was going to stop them. I was prepared to abandon my car and run the other way.
Thanks David Dinkins, you set a great precedent for our city….we won’t soon forget.
The police are all dressed up (mening armed to the teeth) and nowhere to go.. this over bearing is intimidating and has to stop!
Crown Heights 1991 anyone?
JG Jr have you seen any of the videos of these Bahaymas rioting and looting last night?? Disgusting. Ever wonder why people call them animals???
He pulled a gun on cops, bad move.
People protest his death, they are teaching their children that they agree with pulling a gun on a cop.
The Torah says you may kill a person who threatens to kill you. So there.
Why is the blood of this boy bluer than that of the police?
