As reported in The Times Israel (http://bit.ly/1bShy3Y) Arad, who was the former head of the Design Products Department at London’s Royal College of Art from 1997 to 2009, was asked by LG in 2002 to create a touchscreen for a new computer they were designing.

His product closely resembled what we know today as the iPad. It included the touch screen, icons, videos, horizontal and vertical flip features, and built in Wi-Fi connections.

Arad, along with The Light Surgeons, a UK company, produced a video of the designs. The video was discussed at the latest event supported by Omnitech.
