The Times of Israel reports (http://bit.ly/1bTs4YK) that due to greater airline competition, El Al will add 55 weekly flights to five European locations: Prague, Larnaca, Berlin, Kiev and Budapest. Flights will be available March 2014.
The flights will be available under the airline’s new brand “Up.” Up tickets will be priced at a base rate and fees for luggage, food and seating choice will require additional charges. The price of a one-way ticket to Prague and Budapest will start at $69 for the first few months. Flights to Berlin, Larnaca and Kiev will start $99.
The airline has added the flights following the Open Skies agreement signed between Israel and the Europe last year. The agreement permits European airline carriers to route flights to Israel.
