According to DNAInfo New York (http://dnain.fo/1j0BA2Y) the trailer is located directly outside of the 14-story headquarters and will offer the team limited to no access to the building.

The team’s activity will need screening by security, just as other members of the public. Transition teams have previously been afforded an area inside police headquarters.

The trailer has been sitting unused outside police headquarters for approximately three months. It contains a conference area, cubicles and a coffee room. Scheduled meetings among officials will be held in the trailer.

The police commissioner and the mayor-elect have only had one public encounter so far after Kelly criticized De Blasio and other mayoral candidates in a “Playboy” interview.

Kelly stated that he has selected an undisclosed point person from his office to handle the transition team.

doesnt sound like the welcome mat is being extended rather a “Frask” for the “no Frisk”

Kelly is undoubtedly upset, because De Blasio refused to authorize free protection for Kelly, after his tenure as Police Commissioner ends. De Blasio made the right decision, as the taxpayers should not have to pick up free protection for a private citizen. Kelly can well afford (especially with his soon to be seven digit salary at his new job) to pay for his own protection. In any event, once January 1, 2014 arrives, the transition team will no longer be sequestered in a trailer. I hope that they take a broom, and sweep all of those out of headquarters, who have sat at a desk for years, and done nothing for the citizens of NYC.

It wouldn’t hurt anyone if some of the selfish top brass were sent on their merry way. Hey, all good things eventually come to an end.
