[State Department photo/ Public Domain]Washington – Secretary of State John Kerry says he’s not concerned about widespread criticism of his efforts to win a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas and will continue to work toward that goal.

Kerry said he was convinced that a humanitarian cease-fire followed by negotiations to resolve the underlying causes of the conflict is “more appropriate” than “a tit-for-tat of violence that will invite more violence.” He said he is fully supportive of Israel’s right to self-defense and denied accusations that his cease-fire effort would hurt its security.

Though he said he wasn’t “worried” by the criticism, Kerry showed flashes of pique in his comments, saying at one point that he would not “take a second seat to anybody” in his devotion to Israel’s security.

    1. He is too resistant to learn a lesson. If too many think that your actions are reprehensible, at least examine them and consider modifying them. This guy is just like his boss. Committed to the goal of eliminating Israel. What a disgrace.

      • You’re forgetting he is obama’s mouthpiece and taking his cues from our anti Semitic president. None of his actions or statements are his alone; he us merely a puppet of obama’s

    2. He’s taking his orders not just from Obama but from Turkey and Qatar. Neither Kerry nor Obama have the smarts or the backbone to play the long Islamic war game.

Egypt and the Arab league support Israel destroying Hamas.

Kerry and Obama are putting the U.S. in between muslim factions and we will be lucky to avoid the blowback.
