New York, NY – In what appears to be a throw back to the late 80s and early 1990s, New York City motorists are reporting the re-emergence of the city’s legendary “squeegee men” at the entrances to several of the city’s major tunnels.

NYPOST.com (http://bit.ly/1kqiJ5g) reports that the iconic window cleaners were rendered all but extinct over two decades ago when then-Police Commissioner William Bratton and New York City May Rudy Giuliani labeled them a “menace” to motorists.
Recent reports by drivers now put active squeegee men operating at the Holland, Lincoln, and Queens-Midtown tunnels, as well as on the Queensboro Bridge.
One NYC grandmother said she encountered the cleaners at the Lincoln tunnel two weeks ago.
“I haven’t seen those guys in 20 years,” said 49 year-old Maria Berrios. “I’m a grandma now — the last time I saw one of them, my kids were in the car.”
DeBlasio is unsurprisingly shaping into a White Dinkins. We are headed in downward spiral. He will one day frustratingly declare the City is unmanageable.

The cops must get rid of those parasites. As Mayor Guiliani once stated “these low level crimes, can escalate to major crimes”. If people refuse to tip those miscreants, they can become violent.
My windows haven’t been cleaned in twenty years. I can finally get rid of the “wash me” on my rear glass.
Probably the new legal illegal immigrants……..now earning tax free money to supplement their welfare and section 8 housing who now in addition to everything else are “harassing”
