The ticket, which was sold at the Allif News & Grocery at 1821 Ave. M, was a Powerplay ticket second-place winner in the Wednesday night Sept. 24, Powerball drawing along with eight other winners in various states.
According to a lottery official in Albany, the winnings have not yet been claimed and the ticket holder has a calendar year to do so, although the full 365-day period is rarely utilized.
During the same drawing, a $1 million-winning Powerball ticket was sold as well, in the Hampton Bays at Shell gas station Canoe Place Fuel Mart near the intersection of East Montauk Highway and Canoe Place Road, according to the New York State Lottery website, nylottery.ny.gov.
We wish the winner every congratulations. However, $2 Million, less taxes, hardly buys a house in Flatbush.
Best of luck to him
