The 63,000 square-foot store is larger than the 57,000 square-foot store on Fifth Avenue that just opened 7 months ago, according to the Wall Street Journal (http://on.wsj.com/1IPGfBT).

The newest store is also more than 20,000 square feet bigger than the Times Square store that opened in 2012.

In an age of popular online shopping, H&M hopes to draw customers to its store using visual appeal with its 35-foot-glass facade with LCD screens showcasing models in H&M fashions, in addition to a 30-foot-high atrium on the second floor.

H&M will now have more than a dozen stores in Manhattan.

H&M offers women’s, men’s and children’s clothes, plus sizes, shoes, household items and beauty products.
