In a letter sent to the Democratic National Committee, Dems said the proposed date of April 26, 2016 is “offensive” to the values of the Democratic Party, reports New York Daily News (http://nydn.us/1RcTMVf).

The legislature has to approve a primary date for New York, and the Democrats said they will not vote for April 26, but have not offered another date.

The primary ballot will include former First Lady and Secretary of State Democrat Hillary Clinton.
