REUTERS/Nir Elias New York, NY – On the heels of a Donald Trump appearance before Jewish community leaders earlier this week during which many of his remarks were roundly criticized for being “stereotypical” and “offensive,” and a Sunday New York Times article that described him as a”demagogue,” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio released a scathing statement on Sunday in which he equates the GOP frontrunner to some of the darkest political figures in recent US history.

In his Sunday press release, de Blasio states, “As the New York Times makes clear today in a front page article, Donald Trump will go down as one of the worst demagogues in recent U.S. political history.”

In reference to Trump’s appearance before the Jewish community earlier in the week, de Blasio states, “His latest comments last week to a mostly Jewish audience are an example. Based on hateful stereotypes of the Jewish community, they simply have no place in our society. As with
other shameful outbursts he has had about many ethnic groups, they are nothing short of dangerous.”

de Blasio continues, “Others, including myself, have spoken out when political leaders in Europe have not risen to the defense of their embattled Jewish communities. It is equally important to call out American leaders who traffic in age-old negative characterizations

    Thank you Mr. Mayor.
It’s good to put Mr. Trump in place.
Though he still has my vote being the candidate with the “chutzpah” the audacity, to say what he means and do what he means.

Actually, trump didn’t say anything offensive or stereotypical, it is true that we jews are negotiations, nothing hatefull about it.

Trump is a blunt person, but definitly not an anti-semit, the only thing is, he is 1000 times smarter then this langa loksh mayor.

Trump has absolutely nothing that could be offensive to a real Jew. (Not so sure about secular ones: they are so insecure about their tenuous connection to Jewish people that they are desperately looking for what to be offended with.)

Having said this, the buffoonish Trump is the only candidate who will probably make me stay home on the election day.
