ISRAELNATIONALNEWS.com (http://bit.ly/1PaRLKl) reports that the Haifa team—which is led by Dr. Haim Cohen and currently conducting a dig at Kursi—unearthed a 1,600 year-old marble slab which contained both a reference to the Talmudic town of Kursia as well as a blessing ending in the word “Amen.”

Previous theorists believed the region had been home to only Pagan towns, but Dr. Cohen said this recent find confirms that passages from the Talmud were correct, and that Jews did indeed inhabit the region.

“In the world of archaeology, people believe that until you have facts in the ground, then a theory is unproven. So here we have proof that this area had Jewish inhabitants. Something which was refuted before. It was believed that this entire area was pagan. But moreover, it confirms passages from the Talmud that claim that this town was a Jewish town,” Dr. Cohen said.

The the Gemorah says so is not enough for Jewish goyim. They want it verified by archeology.

The Talmud does not have to be “proven” by archaeology. To think so is apikorsus.

    It’s the other way around.

    Oh… Now I believe in Chazal…

Of course we don’t need proofs

The main thing this prooves is that when archaeologists don’t believe something Chazal said, there isn’t any reason to get concerned or take seriously.

Well, we do know from ע”ז י”א ע”ב that the town of כורסי was one of five towns used for עבודה זרה:

חמשה בתי עבודת כוכבים קבועין הן אלו הן בית בל בבבל בית נבו בכורסי תרעתא שבמפג צריפא שבאשקלון נשרא שבערביא
