REUTERS/Carlo AllegriMiami, FL – Campaign stops, debates and public appearances are all the norm for presidential candidates in the final weeks before an election, but Republican candidate Donald Trump tried another tactic to gain entry to the White House: asking his Jewish daughter to pray for him.

Ivanka Trump shared the story of her father’s request during a campaign stop yesterday afternoon at the Shul of Bal Harbour in Surfside, reported the Algemeiner.

Ivanka Trump said that her father was supportive and respectful of her decision to convert to Orthodox Judiasm.

“Right before yom tov he would call and say, ‘You better pray hard for me,’” said Ivanka Trump. “I’d say, ‘Yes dad, we will pray hard.’”

Trump made the same request of his son in law, Jared Kushner.

“He covered all his bases,” noted Ivanka Trump, who also said that, if elected, her father would move the United States embassy to Jerusalem and would recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel.

After being honored for his efforts on behalf of US and Israel relations at a 2015 dinner, Trump told the audience of the immense pride he takes in Ivanka and her religious journey.

“I have a Jewish daughter,” said Trump. “It wasn’t in the plan but I’m very glad it happened.”

      • I am a True Torah Yid, and I know of many others, who is davening for Mrs. Clinton to be matzliach. I respect your opinion but I resent your conclusion that if you are a true Torah Yid you must be for Trump.

        • First, “true Torah” Yid is an oxymoron and also another name for neturei karta filth who aren’t considered Yidden. It figures all you neveilim are for hilLIARy because she would be the one most dangerous for Israel, and that’s your goal.

      • A true Torah Yid does not let politics get in the way of his Ahavas Yisrael. Implying that those who do not support Trump are not true Torah Yidden is an egregious violation of your obligation of Ahavas Yisrael–which makes you a Yid in need of doing Teshuva.

        • You’re talking to “true Torah Jews” aka Netirei Karta filth, about AHAVAS Yisroel?! They wish harm in every Jew living in Israel! Why do u think they’re rooting for the criminal Hillary? Because she will continue obama’s pro-arab/anti-Israel policies????

    1. As a baas yisroel and a dedicated daughter, I’m certain she put in a good word with the Ebeshter on behalf of her tatah with respect to the outcome on November 8th.
