U.S. President Trump Addresses Joint Session of Congress - Washington, U.S. - 28/02/17 - House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque Washington – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi called President Donald Trump’s first speech to Congress a “bait-and-switch” speech, with little legislation from the White House to match the president’s stated goals.

“All we have is rhetoric,” the California congresswoman said.

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday, Pelosi said House Democrats will eventually release their own legislative plans in the absence of direction from the president.

She said “when we believe the time is right we will put forth our positive agenda, but not while people are still enamored by what could be viewed as a snake-oil salesman by some and a messenger of hope by others.”

    1. I think Pelosi is a p–s poor commentator on the Glorious Leader…she’s as partisan and ideologically warped as anyone on The hill.

…That said, I also think that we’ve reached quite a low point, when it is actually newsworthy that the President made a speech sounding conciliatory, rather than irresponsible and inflammatory.

    2. There was no greater case of “snake oil” sales than Ms. Pelosi telling the lawmakers “we have to pass it so we can read it” about Obamacare. Such is the worldview of a Soros employee.

      • Sandman: She wasn’t talking to Congress, but to a conference of county legislators. And she said that “we” would have to pass the bill before people could understand the benefits it would bring. Whether or not you consider Obamacare’s provisions to be a benefit is your opinion. But her meaning was that in order for people to understand and appreciate what was in the bill, it would have to go into effect.

        • REALLY, see all the benefits 116%premium increase $5000 to $6000 deductibles and man’s insurance paying for abortion coverage. Sounds just like pelosi crazy

          • What you are saying, I think…is that your foxhole is the entire war, so to heck with everyone else. Premiums of you and similarly situated people went up…over 30 million previously uninsured people are now insured. On balance, you win…without any further analysis.
