Just four years removed from their third straight 100-loss season in 2013, the Astros shut down the Yankees for two straight games after dropping three in a row in the Bronx.
Next up for the Astros: Game 1 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night. Houston aces Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander will have plenty of rest, too, before the matchup begins at Dodger Stadium.
Who Cares
Now tell me, all you frum clowns, yes, you know who you are… The ones that rented a box, and posted pictures with a bunch of teenage boys, and the ones that sat behind home plate and looked around to make sure that everybody knew they were there, or those that stood up so that they can see who else is part of the Jewish whos who…Taking your nearest and Dearest, to the game last week, spending thousands and thousands of dollars exhibiting your u’nbridled and unabashed love for your dearly beloved Yankees, how do you feel now? Do you feel foolish pretending to care about something you really dont, living alongside the lying, fallacious pretentiosness of the world??? Shame on you! You should have gone to a bais hamidrash, and sat and learned with all those you pretend to care so much about. It would have gone a lot further…..a gutten vinter!!!.

It is easy to judge and call people clowns and state the obvious.
But believe it or not, some go to the game as an alternative in place of going to worse things in life.
There are those that do not understand the excitement of getting pshat in the gemara, and they need some excitement to fill that void.
So they go to a Yankees game to get that missing excitement.
Please let us be on the side of empathy, instead of easy condemnation.
The fact that the Yankees did not make it to the World Series does not negate the excitement these people felt in their team almost winning, and if that makes them smile and be happy,so be it.
It is far better than them turning to heavy liquor or dangerous car joy rides that can also make people happy.
These are complicated times that we are living in,and clear direction is so hard to find.
But one thing is clear, that bad naming and joking at those that have chosen this sort of excitement will not help anyone.
One can daven for them to find excitement in their learning, but there should never be a need to mock them,if they have not found their way yet.
