Hejere, Ethiopia – An emergency response team from Israel, dispatched to Ethiopia to search for remains of victims of the Ethiopian Airlines disaster, said they are frustrated because they have not been able to access the site where the plane crashed.

Members of the ZAKA team were seen at the site earlier this week, but they were not permitted to extract material. An Israeli official said the team in Ethiopia is frustrated.

If the remains can be positively identified, that is one thing; however, in this case, there are (I’m sorry to be gross) pieces left of human remains, as the plane struck the ground at a very high rate of speed and exploded. The same thing occurred on 9/11/02, in Shanksville, PA, with Flight 93. Even with DNA, it is impossible to positively identify everyone on board.
