Rockland County – The Anti-Semitic video posted by the Rockland County GOP was removed following widespread condemnation. But the Rockland County citizens aren’t satisfied yet.

A petition has been started to demand the resignation of Rockland GOP Chairman Lawrence Garvey over the production and posting of the video.
The petition reads:
“The Rockland County Republican Committee posted a blatantly antisemitic video to Facebook that has since been removed. Here is a copy of the video:
It has been widely publicized and has so far been condemned by the ADL of NY/NJ, NY AG Tish James, the Republican Jewish Coalition, Governor Cuomo, and Congresswoman Nita Lowey.
We are calling for the immediate resignation of Rockland GOP Chairperson Lawrence Garvey for the production and posting of the video. Rockland County Executive Ed Day used the same “A Storm is Coming” rhetoric in a video for his last campaign. “The Storm is Coming” was a campaign speech by Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany. Both Garvey and Day had previously been made aware of the historical relevance.
The continuous hate and rhetoric promoted by the Rockland GOP are putting the entire Jewish community in danger. We are fearful for our families, homes, businesses, and synagogues. The hate must stop.
Republicans and Democrats must work together to make Rockland a better place, but the current leadership is irresponsible and Garvey must step down.
Please sign this petition and demand Chairman Garvey’s resignation!”

I agreed with the video. I think these thugish chasids wanna bes are just people no one wants to be around. Nothing to do with being Jewish.
Petitions are BS. There are legal maneuvers. However our leaders are a sham and unwilling to make them.
Unfortunately our so called leaders created this anti semitism. We have selfish and arrogant leaders who dont care about the public, they’re just out to fill their own pockets. It’s a very sad state of affairs where we got to, we are a community with no representation.

What is the difference here? What the heck is anti-semitism. I demand a description of it and don’t just tell me it’s about people who are not accepting what the status quo for the Jewish faith. I see the word is thrown out so much that even I won’t want to be a part of this faith.
This is so sad….in my home I celebrate jewish traditions, yet I’m christian. Maybe that’s because the man I follow was a Jewish carpenter. I DON’T GET ANY OF THIS. What I do get is greedy people taking advantage of of nice people. This is entirely so sad. So tell me…why are all the beautiful jews being characterized as bad carrying the burden of the evil, money hungry members of the jewish faith that makes everyone look bad???

The video produced by the Rockland County GOP was despicable, and very similar to what the Nazis used to publish, which showed Jews as sub-human. Further, I resent you referring to Jews as “evil money hungry members of their faith”. You think that there are no “evil money hungry members” of your faith?
