Far Rockaway – 3-year-old Mordechai Yavets tragically passed away, approximately an hour after he was struck by a vehicle on Virginia Street in Far Rockaway.

The accident took place at approximately 11:15 AM on Monday. Mordechai was found unconcious on scene. He was rushed to Long Island Jewish Medical Center in critical condition. Unfortunately it was not possible to stabilize his condition, and he passed way after around an hour.
