Washington – Former Texas representative and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump has turned the U.S.-Israel relationship into a partisan issue.

“Certainly the president is trying to [turn Israel into a partisan issue]; I don’t think he’ll be successful in that,” he told Haartez at the LGBTQ synagogue Beit Simchat Torah in Manhattan. “Certainly Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu has tried to do that [with] the lack of respect that he showed to President [Barack] Obama, the partisan politics in which he’s participated here in the United States.”

“But we don’t have to accept that, and I don’t,” he added.

O’Rourke, who in April called Netanyahu “racist” in response to a campaign pledge to annex parts of Judea and Samaria if he were to win re-election that month, said that “I would do everything I could to work with Prime Minister Netanyahu if he is in power and if I am lucky enough to serve as president, and to support the U.S.-Israel relationship.”

However, he continued, “that is not mutually exclusive to ensuring that the right of self-determination for the Palestinian people is not compromised or undermined or ended all together, functionally and for all practical purposes, as an annexation would do.”

Additionally, O’Rourke reiterated his support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“It is the only way that I think you achieve those goals of human dignity and security, self-determination and the safety that people should be able to depend on in their day-to-day lives,” he said.

O’Rourke is one of 10 candidates who will be in the next Democratic presidential primary debate on Sept. 12.

Well, Bibi decided to address Congress to humiliate the Democrats. Cool. Now how do you expect that to play out?

No, it’s democrats who support Israel’s enemies and support BDS activists and won’t condemn their anti Israel Jew hating colleagues who are making Israel a partisan issue

This O’Rourke is selling Fake News. He has things so backwards that he should run for voter, the right to vote, not to serve the public. All his trash that is based on fabrication would only result in his buildings collapsing.

1) All Trump did is make his commitment to Israel solid, and untainted by the PC garbage produced by the Democrats, radical left, and the heap of PC nonsense that emanates from the terror-supporting Left.

2) Obama spent the bulk of his years in the WH seeking ways to support, subsidize, and fund terror. It was justifiably and accurately stated that Obama rarely encountered a terrorist or terror organization he was unwilling to fund. He began with his first trip as President to apologize for America’s support of Israel. He then condemned every act that Israel did to defend itself or retaliate, and waited many days if not longer to condemn obvious acts of Arab terror. He treated Bibi like an enemy, not an ally. He froze shipments of already paid for arms while Israel was at war. The list goes on. Good riddance to that evil rubbish. I pray daily that his anti-Israel and anti-American ideas should never have an effect on innocent Americans. I also pray that his supporters should fade away and have zero political success.

3) Bibi never had lack of respect for Obama. The disgusting behavior was the opposite direction, and there are reams of documentation to prove it. He accepted an invitation from Congress, and there was nothing disrespectful, except Obama’s protest to that.

4) Obama gave us the Iran deal that was diseased and anti-Israel from the get go. We all knew it. So did he, except that he wanted exactly that. Meanwhile, it was proven as fact that Iran was in constant violation of that.

5) Partisan politics? Mechutzaf! Obama worked openly hard to thwart the Israeli elections. He was a two faced liar, with evil motives. Now this idiot believes he can resurrect Obama’s evil ghost? Off with you. get out of politics. Just stick around a bit longer so that your downfall will hurt a bit more.
