Lakewood – Rabbi Shlomo Gissinger of Lakewood, NJ passed away at the age of 75.

Rabbi Gissinger was the Rav of Khal Zichron Yaakov, one of the largest congregations in Lakewood.
Rabbi Gissinger was well known far beyond Lakewood, as a leader and Posek. He was involved in numerous organizations in the community.
Rabbi Gissinger had fallen ill over recent months, but recently contracted a serious infection. He was admitted to a Manhattan hospital yesterday and stayed overnight, but his condition deteriorated today. He passed away at approximately 6:00 PM.
The funeral will take place on Friday morning at 10:30AM at his shul located at 175 Sunset Road in Lakewood.
