When the State Department first announced the plan in September religious and humanitarian groups sharply criticized the administration.

In the last full year of the Obama administration, the refugee ceiling was 85,000. This year, the Trump administration set the limit at 30,000. That number was the lowest since the modern resettlement program’s creation in 1980.

In a statement issued Saturday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo noted that refugee resettlement “is only one aspect of U.S. humanitarian-based immigration efforts.” He cited diplomatic efforts to find solutions to crises as well as humanitarian aid.

We don’t need any additional refugees, at this time, brought into the USA. We have no guarantee if they’ve been adequately screened, by the so-called Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service. In the past, social media accounts of these refugee/immigrants was not checked, leading to disastrous consequences in the USA. Even if these refugees have no social media accounts, one cannot change the way that they’ve been brainwashed, whereby they hate infidels and western values. Many of them engage in honor killings, especially if they perceive that their daughters are becoming “too westernized”. No, Sir, we don’t need this trash coming into our shores. Barack Obama brought over 100,000 Iraq refugees to the USA; to this day, the State Department has refused to inform the public, as to the locations of the communities that they’ve been sent to. We have enough problems in our country, such as poverty, crime, illiteracy, people who don’t have enough food, inadequate housing, etc. We should not add fuel to the fire. Charity begins at home. Incidentally, when my Grandparents emigrated to the USA, early in the 20th century, that had to bring proof with them that they would not become a public charge. Then, immigration was very strict. Today, it is a joke!
