BROOKLYN, NY (VosIzNeias-AP) – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she’s sorry for blocking a former Brooklyn elected official from her Twitter account after he was critical of her.

The Democrat said in a statement Monday she’s reconsidered her decision, as part of the settlement of a federal lawsuit that Dov Hikind had brought against her this year.

Hikind, a former New York state Assemblyman, says he was blocked from Ocasio-Cortez’s extremely popular @AOC campaign account after he criticized her comments comparing border detention camps to concentration camps.

Hikind had filed his lawsuit on First Amendment grounds. It came after a federal appeals panel had said President Donald Trump couldn’t block people who criticized him from his Twitter account.

Ocasio-Cortez said she reserves the right to block people from her account who engage in harassment.

In a press release of his own Hikind was victorious, saying it’s win for freedom of speech, “A resolution has been reached in the First Amendment case I brought against congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and she will be unblocking me,” said Hikind.

“I can tell you that it’s a big victory for freedom of speech! The consequences of this case are much farther reaching than my own Twitter account, because it affirms the Constitutional right of American citizens to directly petition those in positions of power without the threat of being shut out from conversations that affect everyday life.”

Last week Hikind released a video promoting his “showdown” with Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez in Brooklyn federal court.

Actually, I am calmed by the defeat of AOC, but wish this settlement did not happen. I wanted that imbecile and witch confronted strongly about her anti-Semitic views and her rewrite of history that allies her with the terrorists of the world. She deserves to be ostracized wherever there is anyone that has a moral thread. Mental midgets like her have no place in politics. May we witness every position of hers defeated.

This case was a complete waste of time and money. An appeals court already ruled in June that President Trump has been violating the Constitution by blocking people from following his Twitter account because they criticized or mocked him.

Voice of Reason,
That is what I meant. She knew she would lose.
But the irony that you are bashing AOC as an idiot because she was blocking people from twitter but ignore the fact that Trump has done it and was forced to reverse himself is astonishing.

Is babbling the term you use , when someone says that Colorado is getting a wall ? Or that Mexico is paying for it? Or admitting that any mexican that has a $100 drill or ladder can go right through it?

Or maybe you call this babbling – “He’s not going into Ukraine, OK? Just so you understand. He’s not going to go into Ukraine, alright? You can mark it down and you can put it down, you can take it anywhere you want.” July 30, 2016, interview on ABC, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose 2014 annexation of Crimea proved that he was already in Ukraine.

Or this – Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.”

Almost every single member of congress needs a long time to get up to speed on geo-politics.

Take a few seconds and ponder why you need to criticize her more than other members of congress who are exactly the same as her.

There is an element of truth in Trump’s complaint that Liberal Democrats who disparage his intelligence wouldn’t do so if he ran as Democrat. Liberals, especially those with delusions of education, have a tradition of claiming (imaginary) intellectual superiority. I recall Adlai Stevenson’s campaign and the effete intelligentsia of the Democratic party of the day constantly babbling about what a dummy Dwight Eisenhower was. Yeah! So stupid that he held together the most fractious alliance in history and won the war.

She is an idiot because she is an idiot, not because she blocked him on Twitter.

Trump misspeaks often, and communicates like a cowboy. I find it irritating, and I wish he would not do it. That does not equal criminal. He doesn’t advocate support for terror. No, he should not have discussed Biden with Ukraine. But the info did need to get there to investigate. Tell me, why did Biden need to employ the quid pro quo to get the attorney general fired for investigating him? Tzidkus?

So Trump’s speaking is not presidential. AOC speaks more eloquently. But the policies she supports by advocacy and vote are corrupt, immoral, and plainly dangerous. If she had an inkling of saichel, she could never utter the words she does, even if her manner of speech is far more pleasant than Trump. She is a confirmed idiot, and I wish her speedy retirement from politics.
