Kushner, who is married to President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, has increased his direct involvement in the negotiations with China over the past two weeks, Reuters reported, citing unnamed people familiar with the talks.

A White House official confirmed Kushner’s involvement, Reuters reported.

Washington and Beijing are trying to reach an initial agreement to avoid new U.S. tariffs set to start on Dec. 15.

Kushner played a pivotal role toward the end of U.S. negotiations with Canada and Mexico in 2018 to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement, according to the report.

Late last month, the Washington Post reported that Kushner was tapped to oversee construction of the Mexico border wall.

Kushner’s other wide-ranging responsibilities include negotiating a Middle East peace deal, overseeing criminal justice reform and modernizing the government. He also has a leadership role in the 2020 campaign.

The Middle East peace deal has reportedly been completed but not yet presented publicly.

Since Jarod’s wife received patents from China, isn’t there a conflict of interest?

He’s qualified. His father a multiple felon. His real estate companies in dozens of lawsuits and literally thousands of apt violations. His wife’s family non-profit found to be fraudulent. His buffoon tatee-in-law under 45 Fed investigations for bank fraud, money laundering, tax evasion. And being IMPEACHED. So he’s qualified.

Besides the problems with this being obvious nepotism — which we can thank Hillary Clinton for creating the ‘non-paid white house advisor’ nepotism law loophole — I don’t mind this so long as he has a team of Chinese experts informing and advising Jared. This is no different than having a donor being the diplomat and having the real experts do the real work.

That said, I am not a fan of nepotism but if it I going to happen, I hope it is done with the help of experts.

I am not a psychiatrist, but I wonder why so many comments on this site are so angry and nasty, often resorting to name calling. Is this reflective of the frum culture in which we live? Does anyone wish to respond or comment.

Presently he is in charge of the Middle East Peace Plan, the Wall, relations with China, immigration policy, Broadband, the Opioid Crisis, reimaging the Veteran’s Administration and of course Infrastructure. So basically he has not accomplished anything.

Capitalism v. Marxism is how the global game is often framed.
When playing with Maoists, might keep in mind an ancient Chinese game called Go (gho).
This board game, older than chess, is also called “the surrounding game,” because the abstract strategy and goal is to win by surrounding more territory than the opponent.
Interesting that on Nov 17, 2009, then President Hu Jintao of China was gifted by President Barak Obama’s administration with a made-in-America Go board etched with the U.S. Presidential Seal and signature – according to wikipedia.org.
