MONSEY (VINnews) — Yosef Eli Glick, who saved many lives during the stabbing attack by fighting off the attacker, gives his eyewitness account of the incident.

Glick said he grabbed a small coffee table that was sitting near the door, and through it at the man.
Glick kept screaming to everyone else, “run away, run away, he’s coming!”
Glick says the man looked at him and said, “Hey you, I’ll get you!”

What this shows us if everyone is a coward and just runs to save their life there is most likely going to be fatalities no matter how many experienced fighter’s or armed are present but one guy with courage no arms never had a fight in his life can save everyone’s life

I wish there would be an organization to go to all the Houses of worship and Shul’s and show the congragants how they can protect themselves. If a perp walked in to a shul on Shabbos the only ammunition the congragants have at their immediate disposal is a sidur and Chumash. In a place of danger we should stone the perp with whatever we can get our hands on including (gasp) Chumash. If the perp gets resistance he may turn around and be afraid of the oncoming mob. If we all turn and run we just gave him the permission to continue doing harm.

Everyone look at him! Does he look a Chassidishe Jew or not?! This is how a Jew behaves, not runs away in pachad. Everyone should learn self-defense so that they should be able to react like this, not cower in fear. What is this meshagas that it’s not allowed for us Yidden to defend ourselves?! Yud A your local police or sheriff’s department has units that evaluate and recommend
As per shomrim call 911 or better still arm yourself and get weapons training
Every shul has a fire extinguisher
There should be 1 at all 4 corners front and back
This is the best weapon of defense
2 people should man it 1 unpining and holding it the 2nd one should point it at the attacker and shoot the chemical dust in his face
Then when he chokes on it hit him to the ground with a chair and place the fir extinguisher nozzle down his throat and empty the tank in his lungs.
Yes we know it may cause a hazard to others but
This will neutrilize him
1- by fogging up the room he will get lost where he is
2- you can bang his head with anything to get him to loose focus.
I thing this is safer then carrying a gun to shul
