The NYPD Counterterrorism Bureau says it is “closely monitoring the reports of multiple people stabbed at a synagogue” in Rockland County, New York. The Anti-Defamation League of New York and New Jersey says it’s also aware of reports and is on the way to the scene in Monsey.

Monsey is about an hour north of New York City. Ramapo police, which services Monsey, declined to the comment to The Associated Press.

Rabbi Rottenburg’s Shul is located in the Forshay neighborhood in Monsey.

This attack comes amid a frightening spike in anti-Semitic attacks on Jews across New York. Since the beginning of Chanukah alone, there have been at least 5 recorded attacks on Jews across New York, not including this stabbing.

That we should thank hashem for the miracles he’s done to all of them moments ago, and for the miracle of Yoset Ben Perl that should soon flow (he’s the one injured just done his CT scan and will hopefully recover soon) so he follows by singling חסידי השם.

What is wrong with speaking Yiddish? My Grandparents spoke Yiddish. In 1971,Golda Meir even stated that “You’re not a good Jew, unless you can speak Yiddish”.
