NEW YORK (VINnews) — The next anti-Semitic incident in New York City has now been reported. In this episode, a Jewish college student was harrassed on the NYC subway by an african-american male for doing nothing more than wear a Kippah. What’s even worse, is that other people on the train blamed the victim for filming it.

Yonatan Herzfeld recounted the story on Facebook:

“I was just chased off the S train on the subway at Grand Central because im visibly Jewish because I wear a kippa. The black man was chasing me, shouting about my kippa and drawing a circle referring to my kippa saying “whats that you got on your head”. Everyone stood back and did nothing while i was screaming for help. The worst was the lady screaming at me telling me its my fault because I was recording the hate crime.”

Herzfeld later added an update that he has filed a police report.

The full incident can be viewed below.

Open season. They all know that DiBlasio and Cuomo will release them within a day if they commit a crime. Baseball tixts, free beer, etc. They know nothing will happen to them. Oh, these 2 will visit rebbes with yarmulkas and the fawning chevra will take pics and hock.
Notice the usual asskans are hiding these days. Nice Jews, galis Jews, fawning Jews.

Very unclear as to what exactly happened. It’s hard to make a judgement when this video clip was edited and spliced. The sequence is not in order. Maybe this boy was being bullied. Maybe not. We don’t see what happened before the camera was turned on. If you remember, Yasmin Seweid made similar claims before admitting to police that she faked/staged the whole attack.

Maybe instead of running away like some little girl the kid should have STOOD HIS GROUND. Anything think of that? Yes, he would have likely gotten his rear handed to him but guess what? Big black dudes bleed too. If you can’t avoid a conflict then stand your ground and DEFEND YOURSELF.

Yes you have a right to Take video and to record, but the lady and others On the train were trying to help “You” by asking not to record so that thinks should calm down until help arrives.

you have to understand that they realized that the Anti-Semite is the aggressor that’s why they asked you to stop filming him until things calm down and police arrive

He shouldn’t have to put up with any abuse. But if he was crying without any actual assault or even insult then he needs to join the American or Israeli military and toughen up mentally. He was just afraid and completely unable to deal with even an aggressive personality. We Jews must stop acting like helpless babies and be prepared to defend ourselves verbally, politically, and physically. R. Meir Kahane was on to something.

So much for all the people with their faces in the mud saying “this is a chasidic problem”. Face it people “THIS IS ANTISEMITISM” They mean every single one of us… You did the right thing Yonatan for bringing this to the public, sorry for what you went through.

It not safe to wear a Kippah on the NYC subway. Wear a hat, or a cap; and don’t make things worse by filming those scum, as they will come after you. Don’t expect help from the other subway passengers, as they will do bupkis. Unless one is trained in judo, karate, karav maga, etc., don’t attempt to confront those scum, as they will beat the heck out of you, or worse!

Sad news. Black antisemitism needs to be called out for what it is- bigotry.

Stop whining. Either shut off your phone, get off the train or deck the animal. Btw, you can run much quicker when not filming.

The guy with the camera should be ashamed of himself. Firstly, the guy was clearly upset that he was filming him and he didnt threaten, call names, or do anything anti semitic. When he pointed to his yamulka, he probably meant this is how a person with a yamulka acts? He was clearly asking him to stop filming. It looks like this guy nebech just wants some attention. And a lot of people on the train was holding the guy back. And the lady on the train was right. Just bec there is no law that says not to film doesnt mean people enjoy it just like there is no law that says not to call you a putz. What an embarassment.

Is this kid related to the lady that filmed a similar situation that happened in a Target store with her cell phone camera in a lady’s face and then gave her own 20 minute drasha explaining some drivel about Moshiach coming?

Regardless of whether he was a victim of Antisemitism, he needs to go straight to the Dr for emergency testosterone shots. Moreover, somebody needs to tell him to stay of the Soy.
What an absolute embarrassment.
Too many Jewish Parents out there feel the need to raise their boys to be timid weaklings. Imagine this student needing to defend his kids in the future from danger. Then again, he can always use his ‘you’re victim shaming me weapon.’

I take the train every day. Sometimes encounter some whack jobs & know just to stay away. Always act polite to those who you interact with and those that interact with you – the guys selling candy, the show time guys and the preachers, who will see that you are jewish and try to engage you. If it could be hostile, just move away. BH I never been in confrontation – except where 1 guy was about to pull a gun on another (black on black argument) and I was stuck in the middle. There are always train driver and conductor on the train – some trains have emergency intercoms to speak to them with, and some platforms have emergency help stations too. Generally, unless they are mentally unstable, an apology to black people is all they are looking for and you stay out of trouble.

I know I shouldn’t blame the victim, but I don’t know. No one should live in fear of being attacked but I cringed a little watching his response. I know this says nothing good about me
