The celebration marks the completion of the daily reading and study of one page of Talmud from the 2,711 set. The cycle takes about seven and a half years to finish.

“The New Jersey State Police along with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners will be on hand to ensure a safe and secure environment for all attendees, workers, and responders for the duration of the event,” said state police spokesman Sgt. Lawrence Peele.

“Our staff and the New Jersey State Police are going to great lengths to ensure everyone’s safety,” said Agudath Israel of America spokeswoman Shira Davidovits. “Security has been a top priority.”

All guests will be required to walk through a metal detector before entering the building.

Officials have advised that all attendees should leave all bags and purses at home.

The Siyum will of course be an unrivaled experience of kavod hatorah and inspiration. An anticipated 300,000+ participants will participate across dozens of cities and countries around the world. It will once again be historic.

The MetLife stadium is owned by the MetLife Stadium Company, a joint venture of the Giants and Jets, which two teams privately financed the construction of the venue on land belonging to the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. At an approximate cost of $1.6 billion, it was the most expensive stadium ever built at the time that it opened.

As hard as it is to fathom, The Siyum will be so much more than just an event. The Siyum, per the directive of the Gedolei Yisroel is and will continue to be about a resurgence of Ki Heim Chayeinu – Torah’s primacy in our daily lives.

With around 93,000 seats at MetLife, the additional 19,000 seats at Barclays will bring the number of participants to an unprecedented 111,000 Jews gathering at the same moment in Ne to celebrate the finishing of the Talmud.

FLASHBACK: NEWS REPORTS FROM THE 9TH SIYUM HASHAS

This marks the 88th anniversary of the very first, Global Siyum HaShas of Daf Yomi, which took place in Lublin, Poland, on Tu B’Shevat 5691- February 2, 1931.

Torah learning thrived in pre-war Europe. However, the early 1930s were also a difficult time for many Jews. Jewish communities struggled with financial burdens, and the challenges of living far from each other. The announcement of the siyum by Rav Meir Shapiro was therefore met with tremendous enthusiasm. The idea of achdus – the bringing together of many mekomos haTorah as they all celebrate learning the same Daf – day in and day out – for the previous 7 and a half years, was a thrilling, and history-altering event.

After the monumental announcement at the Knessiah Gedolah of Agudas Yisroel and with the enthusiasm of the greatest gedolim of the time, including the Chofetz Chaim and the Imrei Emes of Ger, Daf Yomi began. On Rosh Hashana 1923, tens of thousands of Jews picked up the very first masechta of Shas and started learning the words: ‘Mei’emasai Korin Es Shema?’

The lasting impact of the Daf Yomi and its siyumim is undeniable. From 5000 attendees in Felt Forum in 1982 to 90,000 in MetLife Stadium in 2012, the growth of Torah learning is remarkable.

The explosion of Daf Yomi is credit, in large part, to Rabbi Sherer, who saw the potential and growth of the program.

Rabbi Sherer was one of the visionaries who foresaw the growth of Daf Yomi and the Siyum HaShas, believing back in the 1980s that a larger venue would be needed for this once-in-seven-and-a-half-years event.

“More than a celebration,” Rabbi Sherer proclaimed at the Siyum HaShas almost four decades ago, “it is a powerful demonstration of the nitzchiyus of Torah, of netzach Yisroel lo yeshaker.”

All those pre-war Siyum Hashas’s did not stop HKB”H from instigating antisemitism against us.
What we have to do is, be very clear, that all those negative things and detrimental monetary Halochos that says in the Gemoroh about people of other faiths, DOES NOT apply to Non-Yidden of our times.
We have to show HKB”H that we have SINCERE love and empathy to all decent people of other ethnicities.
HKB”H will repay us Middoh Kneged Middoh and Never-Again bring on any hatred against us.

We all realize that you have nothing logical to write, so all you’re doing is cursing like a typical silly person.
But that does not take away from the seriousness of the situation where HKB”H is putting in a terrible Sinnah into the Nations against us.

He’s not hashomer. I know who he is. No, not his real ID, but as another poster someplace. Now he’s attacking secular Zionists police, and there he ‘s telling them to crack yeshiva boys heads. Bipolar.
