Jewish Woman Killed In Miami After Vehicle Submerged In Ocean

MIAMI (VINnews) — A Jewish woman was one of 2 casualties, after a vehicle slid off a ferry into the water off the coast of Miami.

Miami Fire Rescue and the U.S. Coast Guard responded on Tuesday after a they received a call from the Fisher Island ferry that a vehicle had fallen off their vessel and into the ocean, near an exclusive island with a members-only club.

Within hours, a team of divers managed to locate the 2019 blue Mercedes Benz, which had been submerged in the water. 2 unresponsive woman were discovered inside.

One woman has been identified as 75-year-old Viviane Brahms, a Jewish woman from Westchester, NY. The other woman was identified as 63-year-old Emma Afra.
