Dear Parents,

First of all, I want to say again, that whatever Hashem does is good, and although we cannot understand how something so “small and insignificant” as a virus, has taken the world by a storm, we must face the reality, and deal with it as best as we can.

I would like to update you all on the situation on hand, and at the same time, am asking you to assist us in keeping your daughter calm despite the storm.

The situation is as follows, the government has instituted and is continuing to institute regulations that are making it impossible for the schools to function and to remain open.

A. There are no gatherings of over 100 people which makes it impossible to run any school function.
B. It’s expected that in the next few hours the government will issue an edict to close all institutions, in which case our institution, including the dorm will be required to close as well. (If not in the next few hours, it is inevitable that it will happen in the very near future)

Because of this situation, it is imperative that parents either find a place for their daughter to stay in Eretz Yisroel, or bring her home.

Flights are largely unavailable. We, at Bais Yaakov Seminar, are taking the responsibility to make it possible for them to get home, and therefore we are partnering with two other Seminaries to charter an ELAL flight.

We will send you information regarding this flight very shortly.

The flight is for Sunday morning, so you will need to work quickly and reserve a seat immediately.

Please understand this is not what we prefer but we are forced to comply with government regulations and we have no recourse.

We hope that IyH all goes well, and that we can be back here very shortly,

Mrs. Flam

PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL:
We are trying to coordinate an additional flight from ElAl to be chartered for students learning in Israel who would like to make sure that they fly home before additional flights are cancelled.

The flight can be arranged by Rabbi Zecharya Greenwald from Meohr Seminary. It would hopefully be early Sunday morning March 15. The struggle is being able to fully book the flight to pay for the fee of getting the plane.

Please contact Mrs. Dina Schoonmaker at: dinaschoonmaker2 gmail.com with the subject being:

Why not wait to see if Netanyahu orders that schools be closed before rushing out? The situation is not any better in America. Many Seminaries have not yet canceled and this article just increases panic and creates a snowball effect. If girls Chinuch is worth the 25K tuition to Seminary than doing everything possible to stay open should be a priority. Give the girls a Pesach in EY . Will cost less than the additional ticket back and the premature end of their Seminary year.

Why don’t the Israel government close secular college dorms as well.

Wow. That’s true. What a great way to make shidduchim and solve the age-gap hoax, I mean crisis, at the same time. Win win situation. They’ll have a solid 8-10 hours to talk.

There are plenty of seats available, but they’re being blocked by greedy people to drive prices up. Greedy people, if you’re reading this, you know who you are. Your parnassa was decided on Rosh Hashana, so you’re not making an extra penny like this. We know you’ve had a very rough few weeks and there’s no real sign of relief in the forecast, but this is a sickening move. Have some bitachon and don’t be animals.
