Sources told VIN News that Josef Neumann died on Sunday night at the Friedwald Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in New City and that his death was not coronavirus related.

Neumann was one of five injured in the attack that took place at the home of Rabbi Chaim Leibish Rottenberg in the Forshay section of Monsey.

As previously reported on VIN News, Neumann had been on a respirator for 59 days before opening his eyes in February.

The funeral for Neumann will take place Monday morning in Monsey.

May his blood be avenged and may the attacker be charged with premeditated murder and receive the death penalty.

I have no doubt the passing of Reb Neumann at this time was to draw our attention to what has happened in the Town of Ramapo to cause the all the makos of Pirkei Avos Perek ה, Mishnah י’א to be occuring. Even exile for we are all exiled now from our shuls and yeshivos.

The following is copied from a post on LinkedIn:
“I would like to ask two questions of my connections who consider themselves “frum”.
1- Does anyone actually believe the mishna in Pirkei Avos “דֶּבֶר בָּא לָעוֹלָם עַל מִיתוֹת הָאֲמוּרוֹת בַּתּוֹרָה שֶׁלֹּא נִמְסְרוּ לְבֵית דִּין”
“Pestilence comes to the world for death penalties according to the Torah, that are not administered by Bais Din” ?
2- The only explicit death penalty I can find that Hashem says He specifically will administer is this:
כָּל־אַלְמָנָ֥ה וְיָת֖וֹם לֹ֥א תְעַנּֽוּן׃
You shall not ill-treat any widow or orphan.
If you do mistreat them, I will heed their outcry as soon as they cry out to Me,
and My anger shall blaze forth and I will put you to death by the sword, and your own wives shall become widows and your children orphans.

Unfortunately I know at least 3 widows who have been severely mistreated. One at the hands of National Council of Young Israel and two at the hands of “frum”officials of Ramapo and Lakewood. It seems pretty clear to me this is the reason we have a worldwide pestilence. So what can we do about it?”

I don’t know if the criminal wasn’t in his right state of mind punishing him with the maximum penalty is gonna help anyone. For sure is not gonna straighten out this guy’s frame of mind. BTW the State of New York abolished the Death Penalty long time ago,
