JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israeli singer Shuli Rand responded sharply on his Facebook page to the numerous media attacks on the Chareidi public in Israel over the past few days. Rand, a singer associated with Breslov who has climbed the charts even among secular Israelis for his unique brand of music, said that he does not usually respond to current events in his posts but “what occurred regarding the terrible attacks on the Chareidi public just shocked me.”

He added that “I have been exposed in the past few days to vicious posts and clips full of hatred and cynicism towards the Chareidi public and this tore my heart.
“Those weirdos who curse policemen coming to help them are not the Chareidi community and have no real connection to the Torah of Israel.
“All of us had time to digest the severity of the situation,, but the time it took Chareidim was longer for many real reasons. What do you think, we want to die? We want to harm or endanger the weaker ones among us?
“One of the most conspicuous characteristics of Chareidi society is the honor given to old people in accordance with the Torah’s command.
“The worst thing in my opinion is the tremendous opportunity we are missing now, to connect between extremes. Hopefully soon with G-d’s help we will emerge from this but what will be left? A chasm of suspicion and hatred. Instead of utilizing the situation to offer respect, compassion and a helping hand, we are deepening the rift.
“A huge conflagration of fear has gripped the world, and the basis for fanning hatred and animosity is greater than ever. Please stop now!”
There can be no doubt that the Chareidi community neither wants to die nor to endanger the lives of others. In the spirit of introspection that we are encouraged to adopt during times like this, perhaps we can think about what caused the damage to be so extreme in the Chareidi world? What can we improve upon? What needs to change? The fact that the orthodox and especially the Chareidi communities throughout the world are amongst the hardest hit by this maka should not be ignored by us.
AN OPEN LETTER TO SHULI RAND:
Nobody said Chareidim want to die.
You’re not listening.
Here it is, in as simple terms as I can write:
1 – You don’t trust anyone who’s not an ungershtupped gadol in your eyes to tell you the truth of what’s dangerous for you. You don’t even trust other Jews because they’re not frum. You don’t even trust frum Jews who are not Chareidi. And many of you don’t trust even other Chareidim who are not from your particular sect or cult.
Neuteri Karta are not the only “Jonestown-ers” out there. They’re just the most famous.
You don’t even trust, and viscerally hate, the JEWISH policemen from the JEWISH country that you live in! (Oh, wait, I forgot, “they’re not real Jews, they’re animals and Nazis”). The country for whom you will not defend anything, but are willing to take everything from, and the only give back you have is theft and spit.
2 – You don’t have the scientific sophistication to understand the danger to you apart and aside from goyish, or frei people whom you don’t trust telling you about such a danger. And you don’t have that scientific sophistication because you still believe that lice come from dust, because that’s what the cult manipulators who rule you want you to believe.
3 – Saddled with both of the above defects, it is no wonder that like a wild animal whom caring farmers are trying to give a shot of penicillin to before it dies of an infection, you resist wildly – to the death – interventions than an “Ish”, that an “Ben Adom” would understand, and not only agree to, but be thankful for, and appreciative of the one who brings these lifesaving gifts and knowledge to the table. And you do this in direct antagonism to the Rambam and dozens of others.
4 – Now, it should be said that the above is not the entire picture. Some of you are married to an even more dangerous woman than “Ignorance”. In fact, a small, but very real and very noted percentage are married to two horribly dangerous sister shrews: “Arrogance” and “Stubbornness”. Married to these dangerous harpies, you could even convince yourselves not to follow proper medical directives if you were a cardiologist at Mt. Sinai in New York – this is how poisonous these witches’ voices are!
Admittedly, you are a small part of the Chareidi population, but I wanted you to have your 15 minutes of fame – since EVERYBODY knows who you are already!
6 – OK, now let’s get to the crux of the matter. NONE OF THE ABOVE MATTERS!
REALLY!
Even worse: I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU DO! I DON’T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU!
IF YOU WANT TO SEPARATE YOURSELF AND YOUR COMMUNITY HERMETICALLY SUCH THAT THERE IS NO POSSIBLE CHANCE OF THE CONTAGION YOU INVITE INTO YOUR HOMES AND YOUR BODIES THROUGH YOUR INNATE, INBRED, ACQUIRED OR LEARNED IGNORANCE, ARROGANCE, STUBBORNNESS, OR HELPLESSNESS, THEN GO AND DO IT AND DIE OR DON’T DIE.
BECAUSE, AND LET ME REPEAT: I DON’T CARE!
LIVE BY WHATEVER ANTEDILUVIAN QUACKERY, HOCUS POCUS, AND SHAMANISM YOU WANT, AND – GOD WILLING – THERE SHOULD BE NO ONE THERE TO STOP YOU, EVER! NO POGROMS, NO HOLOCAUST, NOTHING. COMPLETE FREEDOM FOR YOU TO LIVE BY WHATEVER STUPID, SUICIDAL, AND INSANE DICTATES YOUR HEARTS DESIRE.
BUT DON’T YOU DARE DEMAND TO LIVE YOUR LIVES IN A FASHION DANGEROUS TO ME AND MINE, AND TO LIVE AMONGST US, AND NOT EXPECT ANGER, SELF-PROTECTION, ACTION, PREJUDICE, AND RETRIBUTION.
And this is true with regard to Measles and the flu vaccines as well.
