BNEI BRAK (VINnews) — The Mimouna festival is a North African tradition on the night after Pesach. It celebrates the continued faith (Emuna-Mimouna) that despite the fact that Pesach is over, Mashiach will indeed come and redeem us soon. The festival has gained wide popularity in Israel in recent years, and even Ashkenazim occasionally dress in traditional Moroccan clothes and mark the occasion by eating traditional foods. In the following clip, a Chasid from Bnei Brak decided to add Chasidic music to make a festive atmosphere, although he is careful to maintain social distancing and not to celebrate in large numbers.
