BNEI BRAK (VINnews) — After the Israeli health ministry refused to allow yeshivos to open in any format, the leaders of the Lithuanian community published a letter for all yeshiva and kollel students announcing the opening of the summer zman from Sunday from home.

The letter stresses that all Chareidi yeshiva students should continue to maintain a routine of three full sedarim a day as they would in the yeshiva.
As for kollel students, the letter stresses that it is not possible to make rules for hours of study and sedarim but “the responsibility to study rests on the students themselves.”
The letter requests that fathers who are kollel students should study with their sons at home, brothers should learn together and chavrusos should study by phone.
Students should also study mussar and pray at fixed times in order to maintain a routine.
The letter, which appeared in the Yated Neeman newspaper, was signed by Rabbi Chaim Kanievski and Rabbi Gershon Edelstein. Rabbi Edelstein will conduct a live telephone speech on Sunday to mark the beginning of the zman.
