With the beginning of the new zman in Yeshiva, the Yeshiva buildings didn’t open. But the learning of the Yeshiva started with a full force. The Rabbeim dedicated themselves and continue to be in touch with all the talmidim. There are hundreds of shiurim happening via teleconference with thousands of call-ins every day.
Besides setting up many zoom accounts for the Rabbeim, the Yeshiva created their own conference system that allows each Rebbi to have his own shiur access code with options to hear shiur, take tests, hear updates and more.
The Rosh Hayeshiva announced as well that in order to be mechazek the learning there will be weekly tests and opportunities to send in chidushei Torah with incentives.
The Yeshiva has a rich history and is well over 200 years old. Originally, it was not a Mussar Yeshiva, but when Rav Elya Boruch Kammai’s daughter got engaged to the son of the Alter of Slabodka – that changed. Since then, the Mir Yeshiva has been at the forefront of Mussar and advocating the learning fo mussar on a daily basis.
