Rabbi Zecharia Wallerstein : ‘We Don’t Belong Here, It’s Time To Go To Eretz Yisrael’

115

NEW YORK (VINnews) — Rabbi Zecharia Wallerstein, the founder of Ohr Yitzchak, Ateres Naava Seminary for Girls, and Ohr Naava Women’s Institute in Brooklyn, made an impassioned call on American Jews to leave the United States and make Aliyah to Israel.

In a video recording of a lecture posted online, Rabbi Wallerstein was unequivocal, stating  that “All of us, we all need to get out of here” and “It’s not for us anymore everybody. It’s just not for us. We don’t belong here.”

“It’s not for us physically, it’s not for us mentally, it’s not for us emotionally. Hashem took away a lot of the money that was keeping us here, the education that was keeping us here. You want to ZOOM, if you’re in Eretz Yisrael , ZOOM to your rebbeim in America,” he added.

Comparing our period to the time of the Holocaust, Rabbi Wallerstein said that prior to the Holocaust people were also convinced that the political situation would change and things would get better and then they got left behind.

“Hashem, help us. I should have the ko’ach  to lead you,” he said. “It’s written in all the sefarim what’s gonna happen. Whoever’s stuck in galus  when Mashiach comes, some of us are not even going to make it to Eretz Yisrael, and it’s the best place for Jews,” Rabbi Wallerstein concluded.

Rabbi Wallerstein should make Aliyah if he wishes so.

True Torah observant Jews are not willing to live in the Torah forbidden state of Israel.

We want nothing to do with a state that was created by atheist Theodor Herzl,Ben-Gurion etc who didn’t hide their hate for Hashem and his Torah.

The much Torah learning there today is not because of Israel it is in spite of the Zionist ideology.

We are not “stuck” in Galus,Rabbi Wallerstein, chas v’shalom to say this. We are in Galus becuase:Mipnei Chatueini gulini maertzinei.
Yes, Rabbi, we are proud Golus Yidden.

Its silly to compare our situation today to the time of the Holocaust. Even those who wanted to run very few were able and most countries closed the borders on them.

As Rabbi Weissmandl documented the Jewish/Zionist agency refused to help Jews. To them One cow in Palestine is worth more than all the Jews in Europe so did Yitzhak Gruenbaum say.

the Chesed L’Avraham writes that only a few thousand Jews will be in Eretz Yisrael when Moshiach comes. Eretz Yisrael has been the most dangerous place for a Jew to live since 1948. More Jews have died in Eretz Yisrael than any country in the world in my lifetime.

Most won’t go on their own.
They will get kicked out like in almost every country in galut.
But either way, they’ll come soon. Except , of course, the erev rav heretics .

Did it occur to you that Rabbi Wallerstein has a school, two schools I believe, and as the Jewish people need him here he has every reason to be here to save peoples lives physically and spiritually, Which is perhaps his job in this world. What does the rabbi’s personal situation have to do with the importance of his message? If you are looking for excuses then there are better ones than being judgment and criticizing the rabbi.

There may come a time when the hoards of very sick liberals and horrible criminals will leave the cities and go into the hinterland to destroy the goyim who will not support them
A kind of civil war
But whether it happens in a 1 year, or in 500 years is difficult to say
Pray to G-D and hope he helps us is a great thing
Pray to G-D and move to EY if you can afford it, is even better I guess
But most of us will have to just pray and hope Hashem will bring Moshiach now without pain
Probably wont happen – After all many Rabbis say leave before the pain arrives
So do I wish for Moshiach now with the pain/death
Or wish for Moshiach later so I miss the pain
I will try to do some good while my Neshomo inhabits a human form
I guess many/ most of us can do some good even if its only a little bit at a time
Have a great life everyone and may we all be zoiche to good things here and abroad and EY as well of course

The major difference between before the Holocaust and now is that before the Holocaust, the Zionists had been Hellenizing Jews more in Chutz laAretz than in Eretz Yisrael. Now, however, it is the reverse: the Zionists are engaging in unprecedented shmad in Eretz Yisrael and it’s mostly only those still stuck in the ’50s that follow the Zionist heresy in chutz laAretz.

Even Rabbi Herschel Schachter is on record as agreeing to his mentor Rabbi Soloveitchik that a Jew should live wherever he can be the best oveid Hashem that he can be (and for his family, too), not that he should necessarily live in E”Y.

So given the immense hatred that Zionists have for the Torah and its adherents (meaning, to the ones who don’t also adhere to their idolatry of Nationalism), and that even the Zionist PM admitted that they will “live by the sword” forever, it doesn’t seem very smart place for a Jew (or anyone, for that matter) to live under such a malchus shel shmad.

read the book “go up like a wall ”
perhaps Hashem wanted the State to be built by secular Jews. study the return from Bavel in time of Ezra.
if we befriend the seculars , we may bring them close to yiddishkeit.
see Avos D”Rabbi Noson 2:9 how this can work..
read EIM HABONIM SEMAICHA , by rabbi Teichtal, hy”d . a beautiful English translation is available.

It’s heartbreaking to see the attitudes of some Jews toward Eretz Yisroel. This is the ONLY land that Hashem commanded us to live. It’s a shame that some of you can’t recognize the Nissim that occurs here all the time.

Look though our history on every issue that pertains to the Geulah. In every case, there was an appearance of some trief occurring to fool the Sitra Achra. Why do you think the government of Israel is any different?

As an aside, there is more Torah learning going on in Israel today than every before in our history and this “trief” government has been funding much of it, since day one.

We learn that antisemitism is Hashem’s way of waking Jews up. Yaakov Avinu realized he had to leave Lavan when sensing changes in the attitudes toward him.

All the warning signs are there that it’s time to move on and make aliyah. Please come home now before it’s too late.

I just want to remind you people of something.
Today there is more Torah learning in Eretz Yisroel than anywhere else. And that includes Lakewood, Brooklyn, Gateshead…
There are also many Charedi areas than one can live in today (Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Bnei Brak, Beitar El Ad…)
So claims that one cannot be a Ben Torah or a Charedi here are just excuses.
IMYH Looking forward to the day soon where Yidden move here looking for a better future rather looking to escape antisemitism.

I completely understand why many people feel incapable of moving to Israel, whether due to financial, health or other needs here, however to disparage Eretz Yisrael as a bad place to live currently or even to say something which would dissuade others from moving to Eretz Yisrael is a terrible sin! Does anybody remember the story of the spies who spread a bad report about G-d’s holy land and frightened the Jews that they would be killed there. The repercussions: No Israel and DEATH to the entire generation!
Each person should speak with their qualified Rabbi and make a PERSONAL decision. But to dissuade others and all the more so to speak disparagingly of Eretz Yisrael, even nowadays when many are not religious, is a crime of unimaginable proportions.

With all due respect Rabbi Wallerstien; we are here in Galus cuz G d decreed so. We are waiting for the day of redemption by G D ONLY. And until then, may it be now, yes, we are “proud” Galus Yidden yearning to return to EY.

It is without a question that for a Yid to live in the occupied territories is a huge sin. It is like committing suicide.
It is a so called made up Mitzvah by right wing twisted Zionist who to them nationalism is above life!

We love Eretz Yisroel and that’s why the Torah commands us to hate Israel. Meaning,Eretz Yisroel is the holy land and our homeland. Hashem took it away sending Klal Yisroel in exile because we sinned.

We believe and wait for Moshicah to bring us back to the holy land.

In Golus we are dependent. Comes atheist Jews showing the Almighty C’v that no more will we be dependent we will become independent. We will have an army and a state just like the rest of the world.

This is and was the view of all REAL Gedolim.

Only an Am ha’aretz can make such a comparison.

Hashem wanted to bring us in to Eretz Yisroel and the Meraglim said Loshan Hora on Eretz Yisroel.

Hashem punished us taking away from us Eretz Yisroel because we did not follow the Torah as it was suppose to. He will give us back Eretz Yisroel when Moshicah comes.

Rebellious Jews who are not listening to the Torah are saying c’v we can not wait for Moshicah will take up in arms and go up to Israel.

True Torah observant Jews are waiting for Moshicah who will bring us back to Eretz Yisroel not to Israel.

Comparing these times to the holocaust as Rabbi Wallerstein mentioned, there were those Heliga Rabbis who CHOSE to stay with their brothers despite having a ticket of of hell. I do not live in U.S. but live in a latin american country where I am very much active as a Rabbi here saving neshamot and especially helping kosher Gerim find their way ( encouraging them to make aliyah ). Do I just pick up and run? I forgot which Gadol ( perhaps the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe ) whom said, ” if you can be in Israel, make Israel where you are.” I fully agree each person must ask his Rov and Daas Torah what is best for him at this time. Learning Torah lishmah, involvement with Chesed, and osek b’tzarchei tzibur is our personal Iron Dome! Regarding lashon hara about Eretz Hakedosh – one has no right to contradict what HKB”H has told us despite our inabilities to see the spiritual greatness of the eretz hakadosh…….Will we ever learn 🙁

Maven ha this is such a dumb comment, “We want nothing to do with a state that was created by atheist Theodor Herzl,Ben-Gurion etc who didn’t hide their hate for Hashem and his Torah.” you make it sound like some people created a state or country in the outskirts of Poland or Russia, and you don’t want a part of it. Eretz Yisroel is called that because it is OUR land and country given to us by G-D.
Who cares who controls the senate there or police, it’s ours.

To all of you in chutz laaretz who are not making aliyah- I can understand if you say that you have no hopes for a job, you have aging parents or some other “valid” reason (personally, I think most of those reasons are excuses) but for those of you above singing America’s praises and not only making vile comments about our, yes, secular government, but the land of Israel, and the many, many, MANY Torah observant Jews is horrific and not better than the meraglim.
You can have your same moisdois here in Israel, just like the many chareidim do in their Chareidi cities.
And to keep citing that Israel was forced my secular Zionists.. ok? And? What’s your point? Do you think Hashem would have allowed that to happen if He didn’t want it? Performed countless miracles in the wars that followed? Wake up.
(That being said, I’d love to see R’ Wallerstein and his neighbors actually come….)

The comparison with Kristallnacht is inappropriate and also historically wrong.
It is in appropriate because there is a big difference between systematic violence by the government against jews, as was the case in Germany from 1933, i.e. 5 years before Kristallnacht already… and riots against the government that have nothing to do with jews.
What he says is also wrong, because from Kristallnacht on, every jew in Germany understood it was time to leave. The problem, for those who stayed, was not that they did not want to leave, but that they could not leave, because they had no visa for any other country.
I doubt that he spoke to many survivors from Germany who volontarily stayed in Germany after Nov. 1938…

After reading all of the comments, I’ve come to the conclusion, that the only way Jews will leave for Israel is when they will have no other choice.

History always repeats itself.

For all those who think that they are safe in America, I only hope Israel will be there for you when push will come to shove.

Look around, you are not wanted in America.

What will it take for you to realize that?

We are safe where ever Hashem guards over us.
Hashem protects Yidden all over the world from America, to Australia, to Israel.

Iym HaShem lo yishmar ir shav shakad shomer.

We must pray hard Moshicah to come Asap and he will take us up to the holy land Eretz Yisroel not to Israel.

The Zionist ideology and the sate of Israel was founded by atheist Jews as Herzl and Ben-Gourion and the rest. If anyone reads their writings can see that they hated with a passion the almighty and his Torah.

Our land is Eretz Yisroel. The Zionists land is Israel.
