NEW YORK (VINnews) — Despite hopes of victory via capturing the orthodox jewish and russian vote, Chaim Deutsch has lost his election. He managed to pick up just under 10 percent of the total vote.

The winner was ncumbent Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, who walked away with 62%, while Adem Bunkeddeko finished second wuth 18% of the vote. Deutsch received 9.9%, which put him ahead of Isiah James who captured 9.1%. Lutchi Gayot came in last place, with just 1% of the vote.
As much as I like Chaim and respect his work, his seeking to move up from city council to US Congress was premature. I fear he does not have the support of the Democratic Party machine, and is unlikely to get it anywhere soon. He does not subscribe to the liberal agenda, which makes him desirable to us, but despised by the machine. That already tied the hands of Simcha Felder. I do hope that we can see a representative in Congress like Chaim. I guess the time is not ripe for that yet.

Welcome to reality. Facts not fictions. 9% vs 62%. AOC is close to 75% 3 new progressives are winning in addition to AOC. The GANG of four is turning into the GANG of 40 Nationally. Here in NYC we have 2 choices. LOVE it or LEAVE it. Schummer,Nadler,Coumo,DBlasio are our Friends and we turned them to our enemies. We can either do a turn around and vote with the majority in NOV (and hope they will forgive and give us what we need) or we can vote for Republicans again and be a PROUD LOOSERS and be ready for the consequences.
The frum community should be ashamed at the low turnout.
Thanks to the Orthodox community, which did not come out to vote in the numbers that it could have. We hear complaints about how the government treats our community, but when it comes to voting in an important election, forget about it. The message that is being sent to politicians is that they can treat us any way they want, it will not cost them at the polls.
Oy Vey, That’s terrible. Very sad. Looks like we don’t have the votes like we used to have.

Trump did not increase Federal taxes on NY. He lowered taxes on people in the whole country.
It is Cuomo, NY State and the Democrats in NY that make and keep the NY State and City and Real Estate taxes high so they can spend on their favorite projects and give “special benefits” to their political allies. Same in NJ and Conn.
