JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The Victory supermarket chain, which was threatened with a boycott after an internal instruction was given not to sell a bargain sale on challah to children because “battalions of Chareidi children will come,” has issued an apology and asked the community for forgiveness.

Victory manager Eyal Ravid wrote in the name of the supermarket chain that “we wish to clarify that we maintain respectful and courteous speech and concern for the entire population from Chabad to vegetarians, from the IDF to those who are suffering difficulties.

“There is no reason to take things said unnecessarily and turn them into divisive and discordant speech. The chain and its workers and customers are comprised of all the  segments of Israeli society which is so unique because of the special human diversity living within it. The chain employs and serves everyone: Chareidim, Arabs, religious people and non-religious throughout the country.

To make things more clear: The chain takes full responsibility for this occurrence and expresses its deepest apologies. We love you all and we are sorry for the insult to an entire sector. This is not our way! Selicha U’Mechila (Please forgive us!)

They should have put a restriction on amount allowed to buy. And children need to be accompanied by adults. Restrictions in place and embarrasses no one but the free loaders that always complain

It’s not that they want forgiveness and they change the way of thinking they just don’t want to lose business

Sam you are wrong this is business
And they are aware that frummies would clean them out loss leaders are just that to bring in business. What they objected to was abuse of system
Nothing about anti semitism nothing about anti frummies There mistake was limiting the amount a paying customer could purchase.
