Study: Immunity to Coronavirus Could Be Lost in Months

Authorities set up testing for anyone concerned they might have come into contact with an Egyptian soldier who visited a shopping mall in Rayong last week and then tested positive for COVID-19. In Thailand, where there has been no reports of locally transmitted cases for seven weeks, health authorities were rushing to trace the contacts of two recent foreign arrivals in the country who were infected with the coronavirus and may have violated quarantine rules. NEW YORK (Newsmax) – A disturbing new study reveals that people who are infected with COVID-19 could lose their immunity to the novel coronavirus within months. Researchers at King’s College London analyzed the blood of infected patients and healthcare workers and found that the levels of protective antibodies peaked about three weeks after the first symptoms appeared. However, those antibodies were found in only 17% of the patients three months later.

According to The Daily Caller, in some patients, the antibodies were virtually undetectable.

“People are producing a reasonable antibody response to the virus, but it’s waning over a short period of time and depending on how high your peak is, that determines how long the antibodies are staying around,” said Dr. Katie Doores, one of the lead authors of the study.

The new research suggests that people can get repeatedly infected with the virus, much like they do with the common cold. It also suggests limitations for the effectiveness of a potential vaccine, Doores said.

“Infection tends to give you the best-case scenario for an antibody response, so if your infection is giving you antibody levels that wane in two to three months, the vaccine will do potentially the same thing,” she told The Guardian. “People may need boosting and one shot may not be enough.”

The King’s College study is the first large scale project to monitor antibody levels in patents who have tested positive for the virus three months after symptoms emerged. The study did show that people who had more severe cases of COVID-19 produced higher and more lasting levels of antibodies. And experts told The Guardian that, according to study results, while we can’t expect that infection will grant people immunity, we may expect that future infections could be less severe.

Where was the outrage among the national media, when two Synagogues were damaged, and three religious Jewish day schools also damaged in the Fairfax section of Los Angeles, only a few weeks ago, by lowlife “protesters”?

Since all these reports are mamesh halacha Moshe mesanai, we are all doomed to die, mask or not. That being the case, the only aitza is mass suicide. Now, if all Republican’s commit suicide, Joe Biden/Michelle Obama will have full power of lordship with full control of Congress and Senate. Can you imagine that. 102 Senators (including the 2 new ones from DC) and every single one a Democrat. That would be really cool. There would be no one to argue with. Gillibrand would fall asleep and spill her coffee.

ATTENTION EVERYONE: I know of someone personally who got re-infected despite having the antibodies. One needs to follow all guidelines – wear masks, social distancing washing hands, etc. DON’T forget we lost at least 1500 Yidden from the Coronavirus. There were many appeals for young kids who lost a parent to this disease. Back in March – It was already too late – people were infected, before anyone did anything. Another virus can G-d forbid come around from China & China may not say anything until a lot of us are G-d forbid infected. So if you take all precautions now – if there is a 2nd wave. hopefully you won’t get it. Look what is happening in Eretz Yisroel – 2nd wave. And please read an article in The Jewish Press -VERY important article by Rabbi Moshe Meir Weiss, “Why You Must Wear A Mask.” It is on the web. P.S. An infectious disease doctor told me personally, that if there is another mutation of the disease G-d forbid, then people who have the antibodies will unlikely be immuned. Better be safe then sorry. I will continue wearing my mask until a vaccine is out proven to be effective. Even if I look now weird wearing a mask in Boro Park when 99% of the people are not wearing masks – they can laugh at me now, but if the virus comes back, hopefully I won’t get it, following health guidelines. Remember all the wonderful people we lost from this disease, including the Rabbi of my Shul. I don’t want to hear anymore tragic news in the Jewish community & elsewhere from this disease. And enough young kids lost a parent, don’t you think. And the Rebbe’s & wonderful Tzaddikim who died from this disease. Oh I know too many people who died from this disease. Mostly all of us know people who were niftar. May we only share Simchas in the future.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Someone wants publicity.
This study only shows that the anti-bodies are not detectable. The person may actually still be immune. While 13,000,000 million are know to have gotten the virus, there has been so far no confirmed cases of anyone getting the virus twice.

“1500 Yiden” much more than that. Closer to 10.000 – 15.000 (1500 frumme or more) More Yiden died in 3 months than anytime since the Holocaust. It was preventable. It continues every day in the USA.
