WILMINGTON, Delaware — Joe Biden is calling the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates “a historic step to bridge the deep divides of the Middle East.”

The former vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee issued a statement on Thursday, calling the agreement that the UAE publicly recognize Israel “a welcome, brave, and badly-needed act of statesmanship” and a “critical recognition that Israel is a vibrant, integral part of the Middle East that is here to stay.”
Biden also said that West Bank annexation by Israel “would be a body blow to the cause of peace, which is why I oppose it now and would oppose it as president” if he’s elected when the U.S. votes in November. He said that as president, he’d seek to foster a two-state solution in the Middle East.
Biden also said the accord shows “the role American democracy can play” and “builds on efforts of multiple administrations,” including President Barack Obama’s. But he did not mention the Trump White House by name.
Biden said he’d spent time with UAE leaders as vice president and “I am gratified by today’s announcement.”
The fact that Biden, J-Street, the UN and all the wrong people are applauding this deal should demonstrate that its a stinker as far as Israel is concerned. It is a grave and terrible mistake to trade Jewish Homeland for the promise of peace on a piece of paper. How have the other Land for Peace deals with muslims worked out Mr Netanyahu? Was Gaza a great success? or how about Southern Lebanon? The last I heard these territories are basically launchpads for ordnance. This business of trading parts of Israel for some worthless promise of peace and co-operation with muslims is appalling and humiliating. Lets not forget that according to all Torah opinion, the entire West Bank is part of Israel, so trading any part of it for pieces of silver or a piece of paper or indeed trading it for anything at all is a very bad mistake, an terrible mistake. OK so you will say its just a suspension of the application for sovereignty, but in reality it is another demonstration that Netanyahu and those in power lack sufficient faith and trust in G-d, so simply bend to the will of America. Apparently Trump brokered this deal, so I say “so what if he looses in November!” At least that will end his arrogant meddling in Jewish affairs. Its the same every time. American Presidents show a few fig leaves to Israel to build trust and get them on board and then spend the remainder of their time in office shafting and betraying the Jewish people. I for one would rather have he West Bank as part of Israel right now than a piece of paper signed by some UEA sheikh
