BROOKLYN, NY (JTA) – With cases of COVID-19 rising over the last several weeks in Orthodox communities in the New York City area, a synagogue in Brooklyn and a Jewish ambulance group issued warnings for people to continue taking precautions against the virus.

Hatzoloh of Rockland County, which serves a number of large Orthodox communities in Monsey, New York, and the surrounding areas just north of New York City, said it had received a number of calls from people reporting COVID-like symptoms and requiring hospitalization.

“The Coordinators and Board of Hatzoloh of Rockland County urges all members of the community to please wear masks while in places that you cannot effectively social distance,” they wrote in a letter Monday.

Meanwhile, Congregation Khal Shaarei Zion Bobov, a Brooklyn synagogue of the Bobover Hasidic movement, warned the community that several people in the neighborhood had contracted the coronavirus, with some ending up in the intensive care unit. The notice, written in Hebrew, warned those who do not have antibodies or those who are older or have underlying health conditions to maintain social distancing or wear masks where distancing is not possible, practices that have not been common lately in the community.

The notice also mentioned cases of reinfection after several months. Local doctors in Orthodox communities in Brooklyn have seen cases of suspected reinfection, causing them to warn that those who were sick in the first wave of cases should not assume that they are safe. Those cases have been milder in their symptoms so far, the doctors have said, in keeping with what would be expected from a typical immune response.

The warnings come after an announcement last week by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio of 16 new cases in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Borough Park, home to the city’s largest Hasidic community, with several of the cases connected to a large wedding. In other communities in the New York City area and down the East Coast, doctors and local rabbinical associations warn of worrying upticks in COVID cases that threaten the safe reopening of schools and in-person services on the High Holidays.

Several Orthodox communities were hit particularly hard by the virus earlier in the pandemic, with members of some even believing that their communities may have achieved some measure of herd immunity as a result. Even so, large numbers of people who have not contracted the virus and recovered still remain vulnerable.

It says anyone without antibody should follow the law. Anyone old or at risk should follow the law. It clearly does NOT say that everyone else should follow the law. It clearly implies, rather, that anyone else should not wear masks or socially distance.

My sister works in a well known doctors office in Boro Park. There wasn’t a single case the entire summer. Two Mondays ago the calls started coming in of people not feeling well. The positive tests have been increasing. I personally know five people that just tested positive. 1 in Lakewood, 1 in Monsey 1 in Far Rockaway and 2 in Boro Park. The question remains why no one in our area got sick since May. Hashem should send a refua shelaima to all and especially cholai yisroel.

This has to be FAKE NEWS! Our Dear Leader said it would disappear Pesach, or with hot summer weather! Only he can fix it! It is what it is! Too bad for the 180,000 dead!

People are selfish. Unfortunately, we preach religious conformity over ehrlichkeit in our schools. As long as you talk, walk, and look like a duck. Where oh where are our leaders???

Vicious fake news. Bobov timed it to coincide with our heaven sent dear leader’s (thank you shwekey) triumphant pageant. Disgusting. It’s illegal to get covid 19 when trump said it’s over. Also, it’s been widely reported in vin comments that all of the real robbonim and frum doctors said it’s over, so you have trump and someone’s idea of daas torah saying it’s fake news. Instead of taking a covid test you should recheck your priorities in life.

There are many new cases in BP, Monsey, Lakewood, Five Towns, and probably all over. Unless a cure /vaccination is found, this is the new normal.
Social distance and hygiene, hand washing etc has to be the standard baseline for everyone, and mask wearing when in close contact & enclosed spaces. Those higher risk need to take further precautions too.

The facts are that for months there were zero cases of the virus in the entire Frum community.

If anyone from within the Frum community would of been admitted to to the hospital Hatzalah would of warned us to be careful and follow the guidelines.

Now when there are some case and Hatzalah admitted a few people to the hospital we will follow the guidelines.

Hatzalah and our local doctors are far more reliable than Cuomo and his health commissioner. They have on their bloody hands thousands of people who died Hashem Yishmoreinu.

All these comments and nobody mentions The HCQ + Zinc protocol?

Don’t be fooled by the Naysayers. (Or the people that rant and rave and mock and make cynical and/or sarcastic comments, without actually saying anything of substance.)

I invested many hours researching the so-called “Zelenko protocol” and i found 2 distinct consistent facts:

1) In EVERY study/trial or case where the hydroxychloroquine failed, you can clearly see that they either left out the Zinc, or administered the regimen at a late stage.

2) In EVERY case where the simple instructions of the protocol was followed, it was effective.

Anybody can research these facts. Much of the material is written in Layman’s terms.

Nobody needs to end up in the hospital. Certainly not in the ICU (or worse) C”V!!

p.s.
While i was joyful with what i found (the glaring facts of my research) it was also heartbreaking.
All those lives that could have been saved. All that suffering that could have been avoided.
Hashem Yirachem.

p.p.s.
Anybody that hates Prez Trump with such passion as to reject an established effective treatment, ignoring the evidence, resulting in pain and suffering and death, such a person does IMHO belong in a hospital… a different kind of hospital.
