Clip Of Palestinian Throwing Stones On Soldiers Who Retreat From Him Provokes Controversy

HEVRON (VINnews) — A video of a Palestinian youth throwing stones at Israeli soldiers who retreat and do not respond to the provocation has aroused unusual responses in the Arab media. The video may have been originally spread by people who wished to glorify the putative “bravery of the Palestinian youth against dozens of IDF soldiers armed head-to-toe.” However the video then reached the general Arab media which led to people responding that if such an attack had happened in an Arab country, the boy would have been shot and therefore this video “helps the occupation” because it portrays Israeli soldiers in a more positive and humane light.

One social media surfer commented that “retweeting this clip is creating a positive image for the soldiers of the occupation and not for the courage of the boy. The soldiers demonstrate extreme restraint. If this had happened in an Arab country he would have been arrested.”

Israeli politicians however were not amused. Amit Halevi of the Likud called the scene “grave, humiliating and sad.” He added that “I asked Zvi Hauser the head of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee to summon the IDF Commander-in-Chief. I will ask him the following questions: Did the soldiers act in accord with their orders? Were they debriefed about their conduct? What steps is the IDF taking so that this will not occur again? Did security forces arrest the assailant?”

Israelis on social media blamed the courts and the case of Elor Azaria, a soldier arrested in 2017 for shooting at a terrorist while he was prone on the floor. One wrote that “our soldiers are not cowards, they are crippled, they prefer to take a stone in the head rather than getting into trouble. Leave the humiliation, what about deterrence?”

MK Betzalel Smotrich (Yemina) wrote that “Whoever trained soldiers to respond like that should not be an officer for even one more day.”

But should one stone be thrown at the marchers in the gay parades they would arrested on the spot and locked up for civil rights. Secular idiotic lefty liberal JINOs both here and all over.

They should spray him with mace. Not extreme but a punishment that fits the crime

Israeli soldiers are afraid, not of the Arab, but of the media who will make a big deal of shooting an ‘unarmed’ protester. The soldier will be punished and a stupid investigation will be made all to pacify the liberal media.

probably staged, because if this is the response to such brazen, repeated attacks, the policy of restraint is misguided.
